Well played team Farah. The one that starts the fight usually gets beaten.
Taylor has been left more damaged than when Faalogo hit him with a right uppercut.

Most accept the relationship between Farah and Taylor is untenable. All the Farah haters said he should go in the best interests of the club. Why now when the club has decided to keep Farah are you silent on Taylor. Taylor should be sacked for bringing the club into disrepute or he should resign and do the right thing for the club. Perhaps we could pay him to coach elsewhere

Farah may have earned his stay of execution, though his head is still on the chopping block.

He will be in the spot light, and will have to be consistant and lift his game several notches to now prove his point. Last year Taylor showed he is prepared to play with 2 hookers, and Cherrington put Robbie on show to be fair, so unless he really turns it up to performing to his pay check i doubt it will take much for opinion to swing, and Ballin to get the call up. Also the Origin period when Robbie forfeits his spot, there will be a massive push from Ballin and Cherrington you would assume to force Taylors hand.

You think Taylor will be rushing Robbie back after Origin to back up when Ballin is waiting in the wind?

Robbie needs to back all this up now. Anything but a super human season all but vindicates the club of the current turmoil and decisions.

Its a win win really… he proves the nay sayers wrong and we get a massive boost... he doesnt, and the media he used to leverage his position will turn on him like a pack of rabbid dogs and the clubs face is saved.

It's a Farce hardly a win win. We are the laughing stock of the league due to a back stabbing plan by Taylor supported by the board who are lightweights. Farah will play well if he is without injury irrespective. Why did we sign Ballin poor bloke is going to play reserve grade because of a vindictive coach. He is a well respected player and deserves better. You don't play Farah or Ballin in reserve grade.

hahahaha ! Tyga - mate dont bother bouncing with some of these people.
they really just dont get it.
i understand that frustration and years of being laughed at causes damage but to say and or think some of things that some people have written here - i mean its kind of embarrassing to say im a fellow WT fan.

It's amazing how many conclusions have been jumped to on here, through not so much as a few media beat up articles.. nothing has changed from the start. Farah was given permission to look around, a bloke who said something stupid was sacked and that's about all that has happened, that has been proven anyway, everything else, is BS… Unless proven. Do people not understand the way "news" reporters work? There are a few around that have been sucked in hook line and sinker...

Conclusions, the article has quotes from a former star player, I was letting fellow forum members have a read, don't know how you come to the believing scribes theory.

It's funny though…I remember when this first came out Brasher on FSN was one who actually supported the decision and to stick by Jason Taylor...

http://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/tim-brasher-explains-why-wests-tigers-must-side-with-jason-taylor-in-robbie-farah-power-struggle/story-e6frf3wu-1227531528260

Time changes opinions I guess....

i believe a lot of people were understanding that moving a senior player on is not all doom and gloom.
The coach needed his space and authority and if the tigers were to move forward it was the coach who had his hands on the wheel.

unfortunately though, the players themselves started to talk. privately.
started to reveal what was really going on and once that happened and a fuller picture was available - alot of people within the league understand that it was a poor decision from the coach and one that wasnt actually needed or even thought about enough.

“What the hell is happening? We have been very consistent with making rotten choices in recent years without considering any implications.”

Interesting comment. I can see Taylors point in that Robbie's salary could be better utilised elsewhere. The problem is that I don't think he had a good grasp on the situation prior to making the crazy decision to try and push him out. It was really poorly handled.

I think Taylor is trying. I also thinks he gets some things right. The problem is that so far he has simply been terrible and has made more than one really poor decision.

I'm hopeful that he has a good look at himself and starts making the right decisions going forward.

mate i agree with your sentiment 100%
i actually wrote something similar to this nearly 250 pages ago.
There was always a better way of handling this situation.
the two bulls needed to meet halfway and if the best for the club is what they truly want - it should never have got to this stage.

Thanks bobo. I knew you sounded like a smart bloke
Frustrating that it continues to happen to our club.

I honestly wish they would work out a way to plug through this year then call it quits. The best will be if Robbie pursues the UK otherwise removing Taylor sends a really bad message to the juniors about accountability and respecting the hierarchy. But if it has to be Taylor, then so be it.

I just can't see this dragging on for 2 years. Every loss will focus on this.

yeah mate, the whole thing is a bit poor.
im actually more amped at some of the thoughts and comments made on this thread than the situation itself. hahahahahahaha

i dont actually believe Farah is a saint.
In the same breath i dont actually believe Taylor has the capability or skills to coach and manage a first grade NRL team.

i agree - this cant go on for 2 years.
i dont think it will.
professionally and publicly, everyone associated with the club is taking a battering.

annnnnnd im still of the belief ivan cleary may just re-appear before the end of the 2016 season.

i really like the walker brothers style of play.
i thought they may end up at newcastle this year / brownie at manly.

Really disappointed that I am about to do something that I never thought I would and foe a fellow forumer. Just can't stand having to see such dribble without a hint of reasonable comment.

Such a divisive figure/thread.

Not the individual who a few pages ago tried to bring the old Wests v Balmain into it, surely not.

He makes me laugh. A sad ex player that misses the limelight so comes on here to make ridiculous posts in order to get some attention. What could be funnier than that?

I think its worth remembering that Manly got rid of Ballin for a few reasons. None of which the Tigers had reason to punt Farah. Its not a equal comparison imo.

From my recollection, correct me if I'm wrong:
Ballin was resigned by Manly during the 2015 year for another 2 years.
Then there was the Cherry Evans backflip which put pressure on their cap.
They signed 2 very good young hookers around the same time that they told Ballin to look elsewhere.
Ballin needs knee reconstruction.

They also signed the likes of Nate Myles, Lewis Brown and no doubt they were in discussions with Tapau for some time.

All that combined makes a very easy decision to let him go, even if its costing them some coin.
It would cost us alot more for Farah to play for another club and we don't even have any star signings to justify it.

Neither of manlys hooking options, even combined have the quality of Cherrington, whom in his debut year in FG was also included in the Kiwis squad… and the clubs solidarity from top to bottom that shifting Farah on was worth the high price it was likely to cost us, speaks volumes itself.

Being soley a personality clash doesnt cut it, Taylor couldnt have swung it alone. Things would have to be bent well out of shape for the club to take this option.[/quote

once you have seen a bit more of Parcell, you might change your mind Cherringtons good , but so is Parcell

IVAN TO TIGERS

Murmurs keep growing louder that Ivan Cleary will be coaching in Concord before the 2016 season is out.

Since being sacked by Penrith, Cleary has kept a low profile but his strong relationship with new Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe continues to see him linked with the club.

Taylor is under pressure to produce next season following a disappointing 2015 that included a very public falling out with Robbie Farah.

So they're saying a coach may be replaced if he has two bad seasons. What a scoop. I can see why people blindly listens to these guys.

Just think, if Farah and Ayoub hadn't behaved so unprofessionally this all could have gone on behind closed doors…. Only the occasional scripted press release from either party.

This thread would only be 100 pages long in that case.

Yes things weren't always handled as well as could be, but their reaction has turned all this into the media frenzing circus - which won't disappear for at least another 12 months.

I wonder how much Ritchie is paying Robbie for all these exclusives? Seriously, maybe Robbie's had a TPA with NewsCorp all this time, hence to cash in has has to spill the beans, gifting crap journos 'scoops'. And as it's a TPA the club knows nothing about it!

so someone breaks into your house - eats your cat.
you shoot him….
but its all your fault -
you should have offered the guy some milk to digest the cat......

yes mate - thats the level of stupidity this is all at.[/quote

i and all the other commentators and stakeholders in the game must all be wrong.
we must be !
its simple … all of us are wrong in our assessment of this situation.

nice… bringing hear-say to a fact fight !

not suprised in the slightest your fantasy buckles under the weight of reality.

I think basically everything said about Robbie has also been hearsay. I love how these arguments seem to come about. Robbie and Ayoub are just ruining our club and pulling strings all over the place.

Robbie should have a new nickname - the puppet master.

Alternatively this has just been a terribly handled situation from Taylor and the board. That is what I think has happened.

I think so too…And so does Bobo.

Taylor thought he'd get his way, Farah thought he'd get his.

They've both gone the power play and it's only served to shine the spotlight on them both far more intensely. If Farah has an off year and JT doesn't get results, it would well be curtains for them both.

IMO, both of them going would be the best result.

Don't agree with you this time CB. Taylor has put his career on the line and do what is in the best interest of the clubs future. He has shown determination and we need that right now. He deserves to stay.

If we improve this year, sure he can stay. If not, well it's… "Adios Amigo" Taylor.
It's a results driven industry Rialto. Win more then we lose, he'll keep his job.

Love it guys. There's been so much Agro on here since this thread started. It's good to have a bit of humour. It's been lacking in this thread for a while now.

I am all about winning games.

Thats why ultimately I am happy Farah is staying. i think with him as our 9 we have a better chance of winning. Even if that is simply a better chance of missing the spoon. I also think it does give morale a boost in a young squad. We need some experience and some quality.

Now the heat is on Taylor and Farah to make it work. Taylor was right in a way, there is now ay Farah was worth 900 K the job he was doing last year. Farah needs to take responsibility for his own from which was poor. However Taylor needs to use the skills Robbie still has which made him at times the best number 9 in the game.

Now he might be a yard or two slower but please if anyone can convince me the best job for him is to simply catch and pass and tackle ill give it away. Taylor needs to find a way to get the 900K value. Thats what a good coach would do. Im sure Robbie is up for it but will Taylor budge?
