**Robbie Farah's close mate advises Wests Tigers star 'you can't go out this way'**
>
One of Robbie Farah's closest confidants has told the NSW No.9 he has no option but to find another club for next season so as not to tarnish his Tigers legacy as the embattled hooker stubbornly delays shoulder surgery until the summer.
>
George Katrib, who is a co-founder alongside Farah of their Mates On A Mission charity, has revealed the torment suffered by his close friend since he was sensationally dumped to reserve grade after the State of Origin series.
>
"He's truthfully saying to me, 'what do I do?' And I've said to him, 'you've got to go and you've had such a legacy that you can't go out this way'," Katrib said.
>
"There will be clubs that will want him, but because he's Tigers through and through and he's so passionate about the fans and not letting them down he's really torn. It's a hard pill to swallow when he's playing good footy.
>
"One thing no one is talking about is there are a few guys saying, 'why don't you just pull up and have the shoulder op you need rather than having egg on your face playing reggies?' He hasn't taken the short-cut and gone and done the operation. I think that's the attitude of a winner."
>
The Tigers had little trouble handling an out-of-sorts Dragons in Farah's first game out of the top grade since his axing and the hooker is set to spend another week in the NRL wilderness this week.
>
He still has a year to run on his heavily back-ended contract, which is worth $900,000 in 2017.
>
Despite coach Jason Taylor assuring Farah he could still play his 250th NRL game for the Tigers this season, it looks increasingly unlikely after the coach overlooked the 32-year-old again for Saturday's clash against the Eels. Farah also missed training on Wednesday with a calf injury.
>
Taylor's edict to have the ball more frequently in the hands of halves Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses at least worked in the first instance despite Farah's pointed comments about the Tigers' recent success while he has been part of the NRL side.
>
"[Farah's comments last Saturday] weren't too ruthless and he just said, 'let's just look at the facts'," Katrib said. "He wasn't criticising the coach, but just asking, 'what more can I do?' He will go about his business still."
>
Farah, Katrib, Charlie Haddad and Steve Boukaram founded the Mates On A Mission charity which has donated to causes such as the Westmead Children's Hospital and Father Chris Riley's Youth Off The Streets. It aims to raise $200,000 each year and even trumpeted last year's gala dinner as having Taylor as one of its special guests.
>
"People don't know that and don't know the things [Farah] does [for the charity]," Katrib said. "The four of us appreciate the lives we have and whether it's helping autistic kids, paying the school fees for a kid that has lost their father … they're little things that can help.
>
"We've built numerous playgrounds for autistic kids that don't get to spend their morning teas and lunches out in the playground because it's too dangerous. And Robbie's never too busy to be there for the charity and get involved."

Farah should listen to his mate.

For his sake he needs to go and enjoy his football somewhere. Tigers fans that like him won't think any less of him.

Absolutely Eddie

I think the biggest thing within himself is he always said that this is the only NRL Club he would play for and would never play in any other colours.

He deserves better than just playing out his last year in Reserves .

Robbie swallow your pride and finish your Career in 1st Grade with another Club you will always be a Tiger Legend in my eyes.

Take your mates advice and let common sense prevail , as much as i would like you to hang around and stick it up JT's backside you don't deserve to go out a Reserve Grader .

Thanks for the Memories.

It says this story is written by Adam Pengilly, but we all know this was written by Sam Ayoub.

Let it go for Christ's sakes.
It was a good story which may help him make the right decision.

It's a shame nowadays people look for the faults in others rather than the good. Any work done to help Westmead or Father Chris is to be admired.

If Farah leaves there will be be no hard feelings if he jumps to another club, we can all see how he is being treated at the Tigers and wouldn't blame him if he decides to leave we will always know you as a tiger Farah, just do what is best for you mate !

I think his close mates should send him to a psychiatrist. He really has some maturity issues. Maybe the psychiatrist can get Robbie to point out on the doll where the bad man touched him.

Great theory, problem is I am not sure there is any club that will take him.

If the Sharks don't take him then you know he is on the nose. I hope they do but maybe they will just stick with Sherrington.

What if Taylor is no longer the Coach…Does Farah come back into favour...?

If he's still here - 100% he'll be back on board
The club will put their tail between their legs and blame the coach
It was all his idea
We had to back him (eventually)
But please fans please know we would never treat a 1 club player, club legend like this
…................

:crazy

Thanks bobo…knew I could count on you...

So all those laying the decision solely on Taylor may have a re-think...
