Robert Lui charged with assaulting girlfriend

Wow , this must be the record…73 forums posting from only 79 views.
There is no cure for the Mad Monday blues for some people ...really Wests Tigers Management should have kept a closer eye of Robert , considering what happen last year around the same time .

If it's 100% true , no club can condone this sort of behavior & the lad needs professional help.

If we do have to let him go, another club are just going to pick him up and get the benefits. Its a sad day for all.

The charges were dismissed but it doesn't mean nothing happened. The charges may well be dismissed this time too. But as a club we can't be a passive observor to a repeating cycle like this and rely on his wife keeps dropping the charges.

We could always win finals matches so he does not get so angry on Mad Monday.

It's been a sad week for all of us, Lui has let us down. We all forgave him and now it's happened again. Shattered ! How could he do this?

Dam it!
This, and Dwyer's injury, are good reasons to not make decisions on next year's playing roster mid-season

after the fact of course but yeah your right…the cruel part is that we lost Gibbs and Moltz and now the possibility exists we may have lost the blokes who were to replace them.

That is twice now, time to sack him,put Miller in or try get Carney, but he has to go,the NRL will probably deregesiter him anyway,if Sam doesn't kill him.

What should the club have done? Posted a security guard with his Mrs?

If this alleged act occurred, there is only one person to blame and that is Robert Lui.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY people.

Unfortunately these two words have been sidelined in our modern society. It seems it is every one else's fault but the perpetrator.

I'm extemely dissappointed with this "news". A sad day indeed for all involved.

Sad news, I've had dinner with lui and family and found him to be shy and extremely polite.

It's sad the club didn't show some leadership or guidance to am
Employee who is essentially still a kid.

It's sad that he has allegedly made the same mistake twice.

He was clearly still developing has a half back, and played very well the past month of football. If cut from the club he would be a loss for the tigers.

So I take it that his partner is in fact related to Sam Backo?

Yeah I thought it was only distantly but could be wrong

I cannot agree with that whole post.

Just about every adolescent male would tell you it is not fine to assault a woman. Robert is 21, and I'm sure after the first incident he was given all the required access and advice by the club to seek counselling.

This notion of "social responsibility" makes me sick, anybody can do anything these days and claim it was the fault of television/their upbringing/drugs/the wider community while not taking responsibility for their own actions.

lol at everyone wishing Moltzen was sticking round. I didn't think there was anyone who still thought he was a halfback. He never passes at the line and has no kicking game. Didn't anyone see the kick he put in from dummy half against the Dragons? Miller was alwayz above him in the pecking order

back on Lui, very dissapinting. Just hope theres not much in it. As far as the tigers 'should sack him' line well, no they shouldn't, not yet anyway. He wasn't convicted last time, so that should be a non issue for the tigers. Think of it like this, if Benji got himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and was charged, would anyone be calling for his sacking? not a chance

obviously we should'nt lose finals matches then his mrs will be fine, twice in 2 years i think he should go, u dont hit a woman no matter what !
