as WT defeated bunnies twice last year this game should be a breeze, with chief ball-hogger now on Bunnies side we only have to mark one man.

What is your side to take on Souff's ?….. Byron Bay Fan

I find it confusing. I thought there was a total/limit of 25 first grade players but on the list here there are 33 players?? http://www.weststigers.com.au/team/player-profiles.html

Also due to not having witnessed other players than those that have been on TV I can't recommend replacements for those that can't/won't tackle. Also would be unfair to players (as if they would care) as I am not that familiar as to which players can play multiple roles and have unfairly been playing in their non-specialist positon therefore turning me off.

I'm going to take a stab and say that neither Ballin or Liddle will be named and either Rankin or JLJ will be the utility to give McIlwrick a spell.

I think Rankin will end up being in the 17… :bawling

I hope it is in the 17 worst players to ever play rugby league, but I have a feeling that it might be bench utility :crazy

The coach will find him a spot in the 17, on the back of a horrid nines and ordinary trial against the cowboys.

Second row or starting prop?

1. Tedesco
2. Noffa
3. Idris
4. Kev
5. Suli
6. Moses
7. Brooks (JLJ if brooks out)
8. Woods
9. McIllwrick
10. Sue
11. Lawrence
12. Aloiai
13. Taylor

14. Ava
15. Grant
16. JLJ if not in starting team. MCK if JLJ starts
17. Felise

That wouldn't shock me.

I don't know if this is just me i would rather have MCK on the bench ahead of a Felise, Marsters, Lovett (when he is free again) as he adds an element of a utility role as such. For instance if one of the backs go down injured he can come on and with a little reshuffle that backline stays intact. I have really liked MCK but he hasn't really had a real good chance to crack it in reserve grade. I think against Souths i would have Kev and MCK start with Jamal on the bench as Jamal can play centrss and backrow as MCK. All i'm saying is i will be disappointed if he isn't in the starting 17.

There are certainly question marks over our centres. It would be a sensible move having MCK somewhere in the 17 as cover. I think it's a bonus having both Sue and Aloiai able to cover both backrow and front row. Also Lawrence and MCK able to cover backrow and centre.
This still leaves space for three more props, two hookers and a lock.

Given how weak our back row has been I have no idea how MCK hasn't had a bigger opportunity to date.
I think Idris starting guarantees his inclusion as you can't trust Idris temperament, defence or injury history.
The only Positions up for debate is left wing (Suli) should be chosen and the bench should be (Ava, MCK, Liddle/Mcilwrick, Fellise)

Assuming Jason Taylor starts with a backrow of Sue, Lawrence and ET…
I think one of Aloiai, MCK and JJ Felisse will miss out on a bench spot. As we need a backup DH taking up one bench spot.
The second bench spot will either be Ava or Grant (one these these two will start and the other will come on as the first prop rotation).
With the other two bench spots, I think JT will go with Aloiai (cover front/back row) and MCK (cover backrow and centre).
Unfortunately I think JJ Felisse will be the unlucky one. However I do think JJF will be in the NRL 17 within the first five Rounds. Any injuries or lack of form JJF will come into the side.

Will this influence selection especially with a few under an injury cloud. Especially with Ballin being selected. My thoughts that we should go with McIllrick and Littlejohn for rd 1\. Maybe even play Chee-Kam at right centre.

10mins till the team's announced so I'll have a go:

1\. Tedesco
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Naiqama
4\. Idris
5\. Suli
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. McIllwrick
10\. Grant
11\. Sue

15\. Aloiai
16\. Seumanufagai
17\. Felise

18\. Chee-Kam

I'd rather see Chee-Kam in the centres than Naiqama though
