Blore in for Offa, Blore can play both 2rf and prop if required, but Offa is a prop only, and that does not include lock either.
Laurie in for Wakes unless we’re not keeping him, and in that case carry on. But we should be playing Wakeham’s replacement in the halves in reggies getting him ready for nrl. Pellow maybe?
And HTH does Talau get another run at nrl centre, I can only presume the centre replacements are even worse, missing more tackles and hogging the ball?
And rotating matamua with both nrl mins off the bench, and full games in reggies.
That’s just what I reckon.
We know that, for some bizarre reason (unbeknownst to us), the coaches love Talau. The fact is, after numerous opportunities, he has shown himself to be bog average, as he can't pass, catch, run or tackle to a first grade standard.
Now to the team - boring and numbingly predictable! Of course the argument was that we needed to stick to the same team to develop combinations. Really? Are Brooks, Wakeham and the rest of the backs really going to get better with more practice? Haven't we already stood by this bunch for a few games and seen nothing but confusion and a complete lack of creativity in the opposition quarter? As many have said, Wakeham doesn't take the ball deep into the line, actually neither does Brooks! Ok, let's persevere one more time wiith a team that scored 3 tries in pouring rain against a mistake ridden Penrith, three tries against an inept St.George and nil total points against Souths when we dominated completions and field position for the umpteenth time. Obviously, we have a major problem with our attack. High completion rates contain the opposition, yes, but does it deliver us points? No.
Ok Tim, have your own dull way again this week but, if the Cowboys beat us 4 tries to 2 when we dominate completions, possession and territory again, please take our advice( for once) and do this;
1. Replace Wakeham with Laurie
2. Replace Talau with Reilly
3. Bring Bloore in for Simpkin on the bench
4. Bring more creativity into the match plan with forwards charging hard and straight, a few offloads, backing up and some new set plays (come on shock us!)
Anyone who hasn't watched at least three recent KOE Cup games or highlights is not qualified to make comments on Reilly or Laurie and should shut up. They've both shown a lot more flair and ability than either Wakeham or Talau. Come on Tim, you can do it. You know that you need to see what you've got in the ranks...
Tirade over. You can wake up now....
