LIVE GAME Round 22 vs. Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
I don’t think Latu touched the ball apart from a couple of kicks before the HIA. Needs to overcall Galvin sometimes.
A big step forward for Latu next pre-season will be finding more of a voice & taking ownership of the side. He’s almost the opposite to Galvin in that respect.

Stef didn't seem to cop much from the crowd
Coz they are so woke.
I started to voice my feelings but was told to stop and respect his right to leave for a better opportunity. His loyalty and heart were not even questioned.
On my way home I realised I’m officially a dinosaur and the way I was brought up is so different to today it’s useless trying to fight it.
Maybe time for me to leave the Forum, I’ll think about it over the weekend.

No mate, don't leave just because today's generation is different. We need to hang to some of the old mentality as much as possible. The push back against woke political correctness is happening. It won't win, but the fight still needs to happen so we don't all lose our minds.

Re: The Olam send off.

If Olam was still with the storm he'd have been given 10 in the bin last night. But with us it's a send off. The shot was high but no way worthy of a send off. Does anyone know what differentiates a send off as opposed the 10 in the bin? Obviously, severity of the tackle comes into it. However, that can be subjective otherwise the divide in opinion over the send off wouldn't exist, hence why i see it as an attack on certain clubs by officials.

Stay on the forum mate , you are a passionate supporter and poster that is constantly posting intelligent, thoughtful takes on most topics.. like all of us you can sail close to the wind sometimes but here amongst friends it just makes the place more interesting and your honesty is appreciated because at least it comes from a real desire to see the Tigers be more competitive and successful.. 😉

We simply need to start cheating like the Dogs have done this year. Get off our line early every single tackle. Ref's won't penalise everytime for fear of being accused of ruining the game. We will cop a heavy 6 again count to start with but it will die off. That will then get us in the arm wrestle more, even things up in the middle. Once that happens calls will start to come our way.
My brother at the game last night said the Cowboys were constantly in front of the ref and he just let it go. Deliberately breaking the offside rule is done by every club up the top.
Is it the refs doing the 10 metres or the touchies? I genuinely don't know, but feel it may be the touchies as often the play will be unfolding, tackle being made and all of a sudden the ref will pull out a "6 again 10 metres" like someone is in his ear telling him whereas if the ref is calling it you would think it would be quicker?

Interesting on BSB this morning.

Wests Tigers 2023 - 2 sin bins for the entire season

Wests Tigers 2024 - 13 sin bins 1 x send off with rounds to go.
Interesting stat's, it points to how some people including myself feel as if our team has improved this year. But the stats are not showing that we have. Playing so many games with a man in the bin makes it harder win games.

The tigers need to call out this ref he has cost us many games , this is where Richo as CEO needs to call this cheat out for what he is , if u continue to say nothing then nothing happens

Yes it was high with force , but I played it back heaps of time , the cowboys player drops his head just before contact , also Cronk ( the wanker ) said olam jumped up into the tackle , again I replied it he never jumped of the ground . Again this ref and the bunker killed us with some terrible calls , tigers need to call this out

Seriously what can we do about it! Even as the team improves, if we keep getting dudded by the blatantly biased officials, we have no hope. What can we do! Online petition? Ask Richo if he is putting together a dossier to take to the NRL & media? We all live in hope about performance but if results continue to be taken out of the team's hands, hope fades!

Ok, so what people are saying is that even though we have been lumped with the spoon for the past 2 seasons in a row, and despite the fact we are close to, if not, the worst performing club of the NRL era, the administration of this game and the officials have gotten together and decided to conspire to ensure we stay at the bottom? They are sinbinning, penalising and charging our players into oblivion, on purpose, to achieve their goal?

Hands up if you really believe this is what is happening and explain why you think they are behaving this way.

Tucker - you may want to refamiliarize yourself with the term "conspiracy theory"... 😎 I think what people may be saying is that the bottom (weaker) clubs have copped the rough end of the pineapple, and the refs tend to favor the stronger clubs when it comes to some calls. In effect, if you are also familiar with football (of the round game category) - no different there too. This said, 100% with you - without doubt, we are at the darkest point of our combined history. I honestly can't even imagine how Marshall starts the training sessions on Monday, or what they video reviews of the games are like, for him and the team.
