There was nothing wrong with Latu’s tackle for mine , but yeah def ill disciplined for sure
He sometimes misses wrapping his arms in these low tackles aimed at the legs. Done it a few times this year and been penalised for at least half of them.
Easier to just work on eradicating that tackle from his play. It’s not a good one.

Ennis comment during Broncos Cows game
" Clifford has been doing a good job of DISRUPTING Walsh catching bombs tonight !
I guess no penalty because that's a rule last year ?
Until tonight !

The turning point for us was when Pole bounced it over the line. That would have been 18-16 and pressure on.

Despite all the errors, penalties and bad end of sets, we were in it for most of the game. Good signs if we can remain consistent.

I actually thought their defence was season best today against a quality team that had plenty of ball….

Get a couple of middles and they will be Top 8 next year

The off season always produces a bit of movement, so we might be able to add some quality there.

Side note...Samoa is stacked...should they be classed as 2nd tier anymore? Surely not.

Tonga too. Katoa + Latu in the halves with Hopoate at fullback is a hell of a spine.

Imo the whole international/origin eligibility needs a refresh. Current rules in place reflect where the game was in the 90s.

I’d let people play for whatever country they’re eligible for without it impacting origin. Origin eligibility stays the same. Would also tighten up the swapping of nations. Potentially a rule you can only swap once, or need to commit to a country for a whole World Cup cycle?

Well this is an interesting one.

In my opinion, you have 3 choices.

1. State of Birth. You can play for any nation, but origin based on whether you are born in one state or the other.

2. Junior state from certain age. This is how Inglis can be born in NSW and play for QLD. So if it's good enough for Greg, it should be the same regardless of country you play for.

3. Based on eligibility for Australia only and state can be chosen based on 1 or 2 above.
