LIVE GAME Round 8 vs. Sea Eagles

Live Game Discussion
You know the embarrassing thing. Saints keep on hearing how they are going to be our first win. You know they are going to be up for that game.
Don’t worry guys, I’m going to that game and they never win when I go and watch live, I’ll keep the misery going. I’m actually going with a mate who is a Dragons man and we both think our teams are so crap we’ve coined the game the Shit Shield.

It was good work by DCE to draw Brooks in - Kepoa turned in to a statue and refused to slide in - he is a major defensive problem.

DCE was further outside Papali'i than he was from being in the line, having basically already removed him from the play.

Kepaoa should definitely have followed his half in, though both should have moved earlier to force the issue, as the overlap had already been created and the huge second rower was going through regardless otherwise.

He is the guy creating most of our points.

I have no idea what the issue is though ? Do we just lack some class ? We have some good players but not great players. Api is a great player. IP is pretty good. Bateman is pretty good. Are we just learning and it's going to take time. I suppose that is what the club is stating.
I hate to say it but you are clearly deluded if you think that.

We are improving slowly but surely. Frustrating to watch at times but we are getting there. Keep the faith Tigers fans.
I AGREE some good signs and I hate bagging Luke every weekend BUT how many games over the years have we seen big moments go to waste in many incidence actually cosmically ,think the percentage would be heavily weighted as to us losing many many games

What data powers that chart?
Might have something to do with the possession (58% in the end, was 60% for a large part), territory with ball in hand. Story of this season, it can't be a fluke that we somehow have dominated possession for a few of these losses, yet .. lose with so many tackles in opposition end

No doubt.
I’d have to look up the stats but from memory we would dominate field position this year as well?
Penalties would be pretty even too…

Are we close or a mile off? Really hard to tell.

Manly are in average form and we're at home desperate for a win and they had significant injuries to their backline in the match and we had the lead with ten to go and had trouble completing sets and started making errors.

Its a really classic recipe we've been following. I've felt optimistic about performances like this in the past only for mediocrity to follow. Sorry to be negative, but winning games is a sign of things clicking. Finding different ways to lose is just the same old thing. I hope Sheens optimism is backed up with more critique behind doors.
