RUGBY LEAGUE 3 Announced for Release on Wii

will tuqiri be in it ?
like whats the point of bringing it out at the start of 2010 if the squads are 2009
like its out dated before it comes out

Nope but you can create players. Just make it look like him, give it Lote's name and his skill attributes. Actually I might make his skill attributes better than his real life skill attributes

just look at other major games such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, FIFA 10 & Madden 10… They are all awesome on PS3 and completely suck on the Wii, mainly because the graphics are just plain craphouse.

FIFA 10 and Madden may be better on ps3 but Tiger Woods 10 on wii (when used with motionplus) is regarded as the best golf game ever. I have it and the accuracy of your own swing with the wii motionplus in is amazing!
IGN seems to agree as well.

That's correct and Tuqiri's surname sound file is in the game so will be said in the commentary if you create him.
A real shame about the older squads, something we couldn't prevent without further delaying the release. RL3 forum fans are working on a customisation save file which will contain all 2010 squad updates to your 2009 defaults so if I see this appear sometime after release, I'll let you guys know.

Not everyone is anti-Wii. 1.7 million households in fact.

I'm not anti Wii, infact I will be purchasing one just for RL3, but thats because I'm so desperate for a league game.

I do however think that its plain stupid to ignore the PS3, Xbox & PC markets altogether.

Especially since the NRL is SPONSORED by Xbox… LOL.

Was just reading the RL3 review on IGN, looks pretty good, IGN seem to rate it pretty well and gave it a 7/10, which is a pretty good score by them because they can be pretty picky.

Not surprising though is that there has been 7 comments made about the review so far and 4 of the comments are ppl questioning why its not released on ps3 or xbox… (and no Im not one of them).

IGN also mentioned in the review that they are not certain as to why this would only be brought out on Wii...

Xbox 360 also sponsors the v8 supercars, despite there not being a v8 game avaliable on there.

Yes but thats different as there is no current v8 supercar game at all… In this case there is a game and it is exclusively going to a direct competitor of one of the NRL's major sponsors. Bit silly.

Happy with that IGN review. Hopefully we can stay around the 70-80% mark from here on in. Tough ask though. It normally only takes one below average review from a negative 'I hate sports games' reviewer to destroy your average rating. Fingers crossed.

There was a nice review in today's mx (a free paper that gets handed out in sydney)
fairly positive. the review (the editor of the paper) commented that it was much improved on the previous attempts.

just over a week till we can check it out for ourselves!

The thing that I most enjoyed hearing was that you have more control over your fullback and can bring them into the line etc… Hardly being able to use the fullback was my biggest gripe in RL1 & 2

Crikies…this has gone on longer than Lortay....

When's the release date again....?

ok this confuses me. They say that it will be for an SD card, so does that mean it would require some sort of SD card - computer connection or will it also be able to be downloaded to a disc?

Will it be like a patch and only need to be installed from the SD card to the wii once (if it only needs to be installed once then i guess using a disc is ok) or will the SD card have to be in there while playing everytime (in which case obviously you cant usea disc because u cant have 2 discs in there lol) but i suppose u could use a usb drive.
So do u really need to use an sd card to do it?

I don't know anyone who has a 360/ps3 and not a wii as well. But I know plenty of people who only have a wii, myself included. Point being, a lot of people who have a 360/ps3 will buy the game on wii, cause a lot of these people have a wii

Got an sms this morning from eb games saying that the RL3 is in and ready to be picked up today.

2 days early but im not complaining

Yep, people have been picking their copies up today and the overall comments have been positive so far

So far so good. Big improvement on previous efforts.

The nunchuck and wii remote controls take some getting used to but once you get the hang of The basic buttons to press and when, then it it's not too bad.

How much is it going for? Most Wii games are around the $70 mark have they bumped up the cost to capitalise on the novelty value?

Picked it up today for $99 at EB.
