Run mick

It was only a matter of a couple of months ago when most were raving about how great Kidwell and Payten were. Potter was rarely given credit for how well the team went. Now they have a losing streak of what….4 games and they all have to go. My understanding is that Potter didn't have a say in who his assistants were this year. Nor has he got the team he would ideally want. A coach of two years is still bound by pre-existing contracts of players. Couple this with more injuries than can be reasonably expected at the beginning of a season and a captain/media circus, an internal leak from high places, a board with no clue and a CEO with an intelligence factor of a teenager and Potter hasn't had a chance in hell of keeping the team on track for a finish to the year that would keep everyone happy. It's farcical to suggest any of this is Potter's doing. Give him control of the roster and a few people above him that he can trust and things will change dramatically. But of course, that means another few years at the helm. Alternatively, Sack him, bring in another rookie coach, and we go through the same garbage for another two years until he's sacked and round and round we go.

Pretty well how I see it as well.

Everything I have read or listened to, points to the fact that since coming to our club, Potter has had little input in most areas, including recruitment. Yet the poor bastard is being judged on decisions and staff that he basically had forced upon him.

IMO Potter was the only one that put his hand up for basically zero $$$ , the board needed a fall guy to take the heat of them after they punted Sheens ,they new that the season or 2 after Sheens was not going to be real good.
Enter Mick Potter a decent man and probable not the greatest coach on earth to the glee of the board , now with a golden haired boy waiting in the wings the faceless men have found themselves in a huge hole ,Potter has played them off a break ..Now it is the decent man being trashed and treated like garbage that the fans and general public are reacting to .
Good like with punting Potter as the club is now in a no win situation what FOOLS.

I think Potter is becoming one of the best things about Wests Tigers. He is starting to smell like a rose considering what has gone on around him. IMHO I think he should be kept at all costs !

Started bad and nothing got better .
A load of players out and plenty playing out of position.
You can't get close with 30% possession and a a truckload of errors.

Remind me again how long dawn goes for?

There won't be any dawns for Wests Tigers if Potter continues to coach. His position is now untenable. Don't let the pain continue.

Potter is class but he still seems like a rubbish coach. Should have been not renewed at the end of the year rather than dragging this through the media through the year.

I don't think he is a rubbish coach yet. He's shown promises by improving players. Almost every player has improved under him including moltzen, Blair etc who were crap during the sheens era.

In saying that, idk if he's right for us. He's still a rookie coach and with so many rookie players- it's very unbalanced for us.

Mick will make a great coach someday. I'm quite sure of that. I'm just not sure if that will happen here or anytime soon.

I hope if we can't retain him as head coach next year, he's with the team in some same shape or form. Guys like him don't come too often.

We have the 2nd worse defence in the NRL,Potter needs punting and so do Payten and Kidwell.
