Funny Teddy wasn't saying these things back in January. It was all positive back then. All positive when he talked about pay cuts. How's that going now?

A lots happened since January. Enough to spark a change in attitude I'd think.

Remember Cleary moved Jennings, Lewis and a few other big names at Panthers. They reset, started new and he got them playing finals football. No difference here. We can either be happy coming between 8th -14th for the next couple of years by having a big chunk of our salary cap on potential players or we can start again and invest wisely to build an overall strong roster. Ive already seen more in Cleary in 1 week then what i saw in JT for over 2 years. I love how the media has turned on the so called big 4 and are really shaming them. Has anyone heard Widdop or Bird come out and tell us there feelings about their future. Reynolds from the dogs comes out and says he wants to stay. These so called tiger players should learn to conduct themselves with integrity and class.

What is amazing is he moved those guys on and they weren't even playing badly, they were playing soo.

i happened across the show on mmm last night and it didn't sound like the media was turning on him, it was ex players on the show (girdles and Soward) giving it Moses, but the press muppets were saying it's ok for him to go if he wants, it's just business.

I hate that term with a passion "it's just business" that's what shonks say to justify their crap behaviour.

Most of these two bob jurnos are just messengers for the grubs of our game..the player managers. So they will just tell the story that these grubs feed them, thats why we get such unbalanced accounts of what is really going on.

On the other hand you get a couple of x players who are making a call on what they have seen, give a really good account of the situation. Anyway dose it really matter, Pascoe, the board and Cleary seem to have summed the situation up well and that is what counts. Yes it would be great to have the two and even possibly the three of them on board next year but only if they are 100% committed for the right reasons

There's not one leader amongst this playing group. That's the problem. Woods as captain should of set the example. One way or the other. If he's staying he should of signed and not dragged it out if he's leaving he should of said so by now. I'll go as far as saying woods is the worst captain in rugby league history. The bloke has no idea

He should have been the first to sign and to be selling the club behind the scenes to get the others on board. I think id be as upset if woods leaves as i was for moses. On the other hand the club should do whatever it takes to sign tedesco. If a 6 year deal will do the job then its stupid of fhe club to not do it.

This is probably the best article I've read all week, in so far as Girds and Soward are 100% with what they are saying and echoing the thoughts of probably just about every Tigers fan out there. Brooks, Moses, even Sirro was in the same boat, they were all being paid on potential, and so far I'm not seeing Mitch stepping up and winning games for us. As for Elias, well he couldn't lie straight in bed based on those comments. **The Tigers made it perfectly clear they were going to revise the offer to Moses based on what the NRL is now suggesting the cap should be set at.**

Yeah…. sorry mate, we don't want you but when we know what the cap is we might have another think about it.
There was no saying we don't think we can afford the current offer, would you settle for this?
The offer to play here was completely withdrawn - basically telling him you're not in our plans for the future.

Well I wouldn't want to keep an offer of 1m on the table for a player who's made it clear he doesn't want to play there.

He said She said.

The day Mitchell asked for his release his camp was adamant they had already told the club he was going to Parra next year, at which time the club then pulled the offer. Does it make sense? No it doesn't. Point is at the end of the day, Mitchell has had this club bending over backwards to keep him. For 2 years straight he has procrastinated, his manager has been having secret dealings with the Roosters, the evidence is all there, he DOES NOT want to remain at this club. The spanner in the works for him has been the introduction of a new coach who won't be dictated to by 4 players, an extremely arrogant and deceitful manager, a footy whisperer and a mystery masseuse.
Of course had Mitchell signed instead of dragging this out for 2 years, it would be Brooks who's offer was withdrawn. I know Mitchell, Uncle Benny and the grub think that Mitchell is the only player at our club, but unfortunately for them we have 29? other players we have to pay too.

Cleary made his position clear, get on or get off. Mitchell made his position clear too, he got off.

Imagine now being asked to accept some responsibilty for the decision you made, whoops can't do that, it was the clubs fault he signed with Parra :unamused:

If Woods is a true leader and he believes in Cleary and the club then he should put pen to paper and back the club.

Moses should be released immediately, there has to be a line in the sand.

So basically you want to do Parramatta a favour? If we play Rankin and Littlejohn in the halves for the rest of the year we will not win a game. We'll be struggling to score a point. Releasing him is stupid unless we get something in return, which we won't.

Settle down Uncle Benny, they've confirmed that they are going to tender another offer when the cap is confirmed.

Perhaps Mitch should have signed when he had the chance instead of trying to gouge the club? He only has himself to blame.

It's hilariously backfired on him, he thought he was in a position of power until Cronk came on the market and Brooks allegedly signed. He'll get what he wants, it just won't be here.

Unlike so many others, both Girds and Sowie have experienced and independent views on this situation.

So for me, their opinions carry weight. It was refreshingly good to see.

But then what damage does it do having someone who doesn't want to be here do? It's like if you break-up with your partner, you can't keep living with each other.

We need to show that we are strong and mean what we say.

What i find amusing is the value some players think they are worth, outside of football what qualifications would most of these players have to gain other employment ? I'd assume none would be the standard answer for most players in the NRL,players need to realise that they are very fortunate to be able to play a sport and earn a good income from, while biting the hand that feeds you usually ends in tears.

Absolutely. The 'he isn't wanted' line is utterly ridiculous.
Did Moses feel wanted when we let Austin walk?
Did he feel wanted when we let Martin walk?
Did he feel wanted when they paid him $600k off the bat?
Did he feel wanted when he was a walk-up start in the #6 jersey every week, despite a lack of performance, both from him and the team as a whole?
Did he feel wanted when JT and others came out in the media and defended him week after week, despite all sorts of external criticism?
I'm sorry, but he's all but have the club bend over backwards for him for a few years now. This is all on him.

I FIND IT HILARIOUS THAT THESE CLOWNS WANT TO PLAY in a winning side but hold the club to ransom for ridiculous money that will stop us getting the players to do the job that they are not…

Its monty pythonesque!!

You can just table an offer he won't take. That means little.

Whether he was 'wanted' before has nothing to do with it.
He's been told he's not wanted now - just like if you're missus says the marriage is over, all the love and promises and what happened before is forgotten.
As for being tabled another offer when 'we know what the salary cap is' - like being told you didn't get the job but try again next time it's advertised.
I hope he stays and plays out the year but, in the end, it's been done poorly again by the management (both the club's and his).
