Thats more than ok for you to think one game is enough leverage to tell people to shut up. If I see that effort, not even the performance, just the effort every week, then ok, he can punch me in the throat for all I care, but one game??? Um no thanks.

Can you name me 3 more dominant performances by a tigers player to win a game in the last 10 years? Probably not. So after so called fans have been private messaging him actual abuse telling him to f off and die, I think its more than enough leverage to tell those losers to stfu. Mate, you're usually quite fair and reasonable to talk to but you're letting Luai get to your head a bit.

I don't think anyone is reasonably saying that he's provided as per his pay packet on the field.

Some players like to play on emotion rather than discipline and Luai is one of them. He's probably used all the negativity to fuel him and vented it out at the end. It wasn't meant at any one person or group in particular but as you can imagine he would've had so many idiots messaging him stupid stuff after the game.

Take the win and move on.

Look at Benji's reaction after that, Turuvas and Mays and all- they were all up at him.

All these guys are not overly bright, they see Luai as their leader and elder brother. THere is a bigger issue within the club that we play on emotion rather than continuous discipline but that's a discussion for another topic.

His defence against the Bulldogs virtually saved the game - Sitelli was going to score had the line open. It was a classic committed tackle on a much bigger man who virtually got them back into the game.

Yes the Bulldogs game was one of his great defensive games amongst a month of poor defence

Since I made that comment people are coming at me defending his performaces and a mini debate about how good or bad he has been has emerged. Hardly unreasonable at all from myself. The only ones being unreasonable are those defending his performances. That aside, I did not know about these stupid private messages he has been receiving so I acknowledge the views of MTD could be influenced by that and thats fair enough. Fans need to get a grip

I mean you could be right, but I would think that if it was just a shoosh to Keary it would have been the finger up and a smirk like players often do...you know like a smugness, not a lot of aggressive swearing and carry on to the crowd. Thats what indicates to me it was directed at fans. However, now I know he has received private threats than im happy to soften my stance on the situation because no player should be subjected to that crap and who knows how I would react if I was in that situation.

Luai as a brand and as a person is smug, aggressive and vindictive.

There would've been a lot of people coming at him because of that performance and Luai is the type of person who actually feeds off it. His comments after Origin in 2023, after Galvin left... he's outspoken. That's him and we should just let him be him.

Keary apologised after the game for the put down and Luai said he saw it. Also owned his and the teams poor performance for last week. It may have also been somewhat directed at the sideline critics but it always hits players harder when it comes from peers. I have no doubt it was directed at Keary and he answered it in the best way during and after the game.

Maybe he's getting under the skin of a lot of people, but I can see the players love and respect him. That's what matters the most I guess.

The best thing I saw from Luai is his first try when we were 24-12 down. Last play, an offload into second phase play, there was a bit of space but not heaps, he backed himself to get to the line. In previous weeks he would've ran into it for a bit, jinked, then offloaded and expect someone else to do it. He ran straight and hard and that's what I wanna see from him.
