Stuart gets a bad rap from people on here for god knows what reason. He's a premiership winning coach for gods sake. Sure he's a jerk, but to say he can't coach is just idiotic

it's the crash and burn factor that is the problem.
the quick drop off from contender to rabble at both clubs doesn't fill people with much confidence.

plus he seems a total prick.

Wasn't Phil Gould still the coaching director at the Rooters when Ricky won his premiership?

All of us on here are Tigers supporters & it doesnt matter if you like Sheens or not its just that i don t see a lot of coaches who i think would be good for our club. And yes we are all entitled to an opinion whether its right or wrong, Im always wrong just ask the ball & chain .

From where I sit I don't mind if Sheens keeps the job to the end of his contract but I do think we could do better with a new vision–but its not going to happen

I agree, and also I do not like to see our new coach someone who nearly destroyed Cronnola nor someone who was thrown out from the Dogs, nor someone who was not good enough for Parra.
IMHO, Brian Smith before any of them, and this says something :frowning:
I do not support a change for the change sake, once Sheens is gone we need a coach who will attract players to Tigers and prevent what is happening with Mainly.
IMHO, the only coaches of that stature are Bellamy, Hasler or Bennett.
In this forum we talk of Slater, Thurston, Williams etc. but when the next coach is discussed we discuss only 'third tier' coaches,and we talk about Stuart, Folkes, Anderson etc. To me this is equivalent as instead of Slater we discussed Adrian Purnell :slight_smile:
I thought we have learned something from Lamb experiment :slight_smile:

Geez by the way you talked about them, you wouldn't know that 2 of those 3 'third tier' coaches are premiership winning coaches, and the third has coached 2 different sides to GF's from impossible positions. Well said 😕

If you look at what Daniel Anderson has actually achieved, he is one of the best coaches in the NRL. Unfortunately his record will be tainted with his Parra experience which was poisoned by the front office.

As I have said, Sheens will see out his contract and than probably land himself a consultants job somewhere. Their are lots of coaches who could step in and do a good job, would they do a better job than Sheens??? We will never know, well at least not for a couple of years

Tim really needs to let everyone know when he intends to stand down, will he still be here even when he's entitled to the pension or does he have a sucession plan.
Royce Simmons appeared to be the logical contender but saw the writing on the wall and headed to St Helens only to get punted like many before him, then Peter Gentle headed off to Hull FC, is Todd Payten the next in line?.
A former Tiger with a brief NRL career is Trent Robinson who is currently coaching Le Catalans in the ESL, he's been getting pretty good results over the last 2 seasons coaching a real melting pot of players in Perpignan.
