Sam Burgess

 The charge, Susie.

I'm not sure?

BTW, he should come to the Tigers!

D'oh! In my defence I am sick and going to bed …..

There is an article in today's Australian I think it was… where I read Russell Crowe is sniffing around Burgess & having lunch with him in London where Crowe is shooting a film, trying to get him to go to the Rabbits

Player swap, we should trade Dene Halatua for him arguably in the best form of his life and it would be a very equal one aswell.

This week's RLW magazine has an piece on Souths and it says that they are in negotiations with Burgess at the moment, and sounded pretty confident about their chances. No idea where they are pulling all the cash from for this.

Asotasi in a player swap maybe? He's on 400k a season isn't he? But yeah… sometimes i think Souths salary cap is 10times that of other clubs... considering they've signed Dave Taylor on 370k a season it does appear to be quite larger...

If you cant get him, try go for his brother luke, there is not much difference between them or even better try get james graham who is one of the best in my opinion.

Or where they're going to play them - they must be planning to field a team just with props next year if they sign anymore…

From a pommy newspaper. It does say 2011 before he is available.

Hot property Sam Burgess is the talk of the Australian NRL – with a queue of leading clubs in the race for his signature.
That's the verdict of his manager and former Bradford Bulls chairman Chris Caisley, who advises the 20-year-old England ace.

South Sydney Rabbitohs are leading the chase for the signature of the Bulls' prize asset, with club owner and Hollywood meADVERTISEMENTgastar Russell Crowe having forged a friendship with Burgess, whom he recently met on a film set.

The Rabbitohs are understood to be lining up a possible £200,000 bid.

Manly, Parramatta Eels and Wests Tigers have thrown their hat into the ring to sign Burgess, contracted at Bulls until the end of 2011, with Sydney Roosters and Penrith Panthers also reportedly in the hunt.

Caisley said: "My phone has been red hot. There has been plenty of interest from clubs in Australia, I would say at least half the NRL.

"If he was free to go now, he would have his pick of the clubs."

That's $400,000\. If Souths ever had that money they don't after the signings they've made.

mate, fair call on both parts. I rate highly all 3 players. Sam would be the one that we shold go after as he has stated he wants to come over here.
Graham signed a huge contract for the next 4-5 years, i think, and has said before he would rather stay in the UK. I suppose that is becuase he doesnt want to get burnt with his light faired skin

I rate Graham massive, played against him when playing overseas when he played St Helens Academy a couple of years. The guy had class written all over him.

Sam Burgess is only young and we can only hope that he decides to come to the tigers if he wants to play in the NRL.

haha better still, sign all four of the Burgess boys.
Besides Sam & Luke there's the twins George and Tom who are awesome at only 17 years of age.
