Salary cap management is poor but also different and is influenced by more departments at the club eg recruitment. Every year we have exceedingly strong sponsors, some clubs start the year without a primary sponsor. But to get a 70 million dollar center of excellence at the complete expense of state and local government, is some serious political lobbying, Lee H would also been on that one. How do we get all of those free to air games, other than Brisbane on Fridays, I think we get line share of what successful teams get on 9/gem.
Actually the West Tigers put at least $10m of their money into the project
Also, please remember this is just not a COE for the Tigers. It has multiple uses from indoor netball/basketball courts, community centre, creche, West Harbour rugby, a local soccer team. So the local and State govt have provide probably 1/2 of the new Concord complex to other sports and community requirements
And all of that just happened by itself?
Don't get me wrong the Tigers were the major driver for this to happen but there were many other groups assisting this push for the upgrade. You may not realise this but West Harbour rugby have the lease on Concord oval and do for another 10 years. They were also heavily involved in the design for the new stadium
What Stadium?
There is a very small ground included in the build, seat about 2000 from memory.
