Should/Will RF get his Leichhardt farewell given we are out of contention?

Benji is retirering .. Farah is just going to another club to inflict his poison there big difference ,all the team Farah brigade can sit at his next teams ground and watch him as much as you like, last round just another game!

That's a good point. I can't remember Benji getting a send off, except a few pats on the back from his team mates, after he played his last match for WT (against Dragons).

That funny,

I remember him getting a guard of honour after the Souths home game at the SFS.

"Honour" is one word that really does belongs to Benji.

Its called selective memory or bending the truth to make a point that you know is wrong and hope nobody finds out. I wonder who the poison will be if farah is gone and we arent winning as many games as we thought we would?

I have the same thoughts regarding Taylor and if he leaves.

Then if they both go, one of us has to be right, and there wont be any poison around lol.

Jumping the fence into a waiting car to escape the media after a loss was icing on the cake for me.
I thought he liked the media. Lol.
What captain would do this?

I missed that one, strictly speaking I don't care much what happens once the final whistle blows.

But yet, his comments **after the whistle blew** against Newtown carried so much weight with you, so much so he could challenge Magnus Carlsen for world champion…

Well Robbie should not have to point out to them the nose on their faces. With his statement he aced them, he check-mated them, he snookered them, TKOed them. The guy never stop trying on the field, get off his back one and all. He kept himself fit, blasted the boys for bad losses, reminded the ref to be fair - told Jason that he was not rep material - what more do we want from him.

I love your analogy but RF was only protecting himself from BS about of cohesion in attack and presumably he was asked. Whereas Jason did not have to make the statement as to why RF was dropped from FG. If he could shut up famously at last week's presser he could have done the same as to why RF was not playing FG. That presser was a famous gig as well only at the wrong end of the scale. Should be saved for prosperity that one.

To leave.

In your opinion do you think we should just cut him a cheque for $950k right now and tell him to get on his way?

The club is never going to do that, even if they can get a small reimbursement, that's better than just paying him out… They have an entire off season to drum up a club from somewhere if they haven't already. Would be disappointing for all concerned if he is still here next year... Though is disappointing that he won't get a proper farewell too... Its all business nowadays unfortunately...

If JT didn't say something, the media circus would have continued.

Honestly, I think JT is doing a lot of covering for Farah by trying to mask real reasons. JT really didn't say anything negative about Robbie, just basically a too many cooks analogy.

it would not be wise for JT to come out and destroy Robbie by telling the media robbies real deficiencies. Benji did so on nrl360 so we know he has attitude issues. At least he made up a credible arguement that suggested he was actually a good player. Robbie just really should have kept his mouth closed - he really isn't as smart as he thinks he is.

It says a lot about where we've been taken as a club when so many people are vehemently against the biggest player this club has produced being allowed one last game at the home ground he treasures most (let's not kid ourselves).

If in all likelihood the game is a dead-rubber, what are the drawbacks?

The possible drawback is that if he still hasn't signed for another club, he could take it as a sign that he has forced his way back into firsts and should hang around for another season.

Hope so!

Why didn't Taylor just say that from the start …. That Farah will never play fg again .... Rather than getting some of the fans hopes up and disappointing them .... Maybe didn't have the courage.

Because he is a liar?

Lets not forget this whole thing started with the club trying to force farahs hand by dropping him so they could retain ET. So while Farah has been no saint in this debacle, the club hasnt been that far behind.

No, it started halfway through last season when Farah was told he was free to negotiate with other clubs.

Do you mean when he was threatened with reserve grade?

Well said. I have been thinking much the same. Unfortunately other clubs will have had a good look at the circus he creates. I think it will be a hard sell to get rid of him.

Well Benji, on his own admission, stated that he did not put 100% effort in the last few years at WT - well whom was captain at that time and who is famous for making them walk on egg shells if they do not put in 100% effort? MR 100% EFFORT HIMSELF - CAPT R P FARAH. He was just being a good capt responsible to the club, the roster and the fans. As our previous coaches have not worked miracles since departing maybe Robbie gave them a nudge as well when at WT. RF's only serious mistake was telling JT that he would never have to make the decision as to whether the country or not - the truth can hurt.

If Marshall got away with less than 100% effort over his last few years, Captain Legend wasn't very effective with his eggshell walk was he? At least you're the first to acknowledge RF giving coaches the "nudge".

At least the Capt Legend tried and Marshall remembers instead of smiling like Capt Woodsy did last week after terrible loss. I have no idea if Robbie gave nudge but if did maybe they deserved it as well. He is the real deal - getting a decent education as well.
