Should/Will RF get his Leichhardt farewell given we are out of contention?

" The coach and I had a healthy debate" is how Benji phrased it.
Make of it, what you will.

And compare that too:

_“It is hard when you hear stuff being said about you, false stuff, like what was the word that was used? - ‘cohesion in attack’,”\
\
“I have played four games in the last 12 weeks for the Tigers. Three of those have been wins and, in three of those wins, we have scored over 30 points."\
\
“The game that I lost, I got knocked out after 20 minutes. We haven’t scored over 30 points in a game when I haven’t been playing since round two."\
\
“That is the most disappointing thing. I have had the finger of blame pointed at me for the way things have been going. I find that unfair. Our biggest problem is our defence, which is the second worst in the competition."\
\
“Our attack is the least of our problems and I am the least of our problems in attack.”\
\
“I feel I am getting treated differently to some others,”\
\
“I will continue being professional and try and keep my mouth shut and try not to do anything wrong because I think that is what they are trying to get me to do. But I think I am a bit smarter than that.”_

Personally i liked his honesty.

Me too. The truth is he used nothing but facts in that spiel either.

I think my boss is an arse hole, but If. I wanna keep my job I'm not overtly honest about that….. As is everyone here.... anyone saying anything less is fullavit

Lets see if we can keep it to 1 or 2 word answers without spite (wishful thinking)

Just answer the questions

Should he got a Leichhardt Farewell? - Yes, without question for mine

Will he get a Leichhardt Farewell? - I hope so but I don't know

Free Beer at Balmain Leagues for those closest to the pin.

YES…Absolutely he should imo.
He won't. JT will be against it I'm sure. :frowning:
Mary is doing the right thing with Benji, letting him play the last game of their season so they can farewell a legend of the game. It's a respectful thing to do.

The respectful thing to do is to address whatever issues you have with your club behind closed doors. Robbie only has himself to blame.

Going around in circles again. How can you be sure he hasn't?

And conversley, how can you be sure that Taylor is the one keeping him out of the side and not people above Taylor?

Its fine to respect his honesty, but don't expect the club to roll over and take it either.

Benji is retirering .. Farah is just going to another club to inflict his poison there big difference ,all the team Farah brigade can sit at his next teams ground and watch him as much as you like, last round just another game!

I'm not in the Farah corner, nor the Taylor one for that matter. Like I said he spoke in numbers that were factual. The clubs use stats for everything else, yet in this instance they were irrelevant. Maybe they stung a little.

Well Robbie should not have to point out to them the nose on their faces. With his statement he aced them, he check-mated them, he snookered them, TKOed them. The guy never stop trying on the field, get off his back one and all. He kept himself fit, blasted the boys for bad losses, reminded the ref to be fair - told Jason that he was not rep material - what more do we want from him.

Not interested in club politics. The only thing i expect is that the coach chooses the best team without biases and for the boys to play with pride and put in the effort, each and every week. JT's team selections are and have been 😱pen_mouth: puzzling.

Sri Lanka was AWSOME. Highly recommended WD  Feeling rejuvenated and have a nice tan to go with it

Sarcasm?..
Did what no other player in the NRL would even consider doing, publicly bagged our coach, bagged our club.. We really don't need more from him, much less would be nice.

Jumping the fence into a waiting car to escape the media after a loss was icing on the cake for me.
I thought he liked the media. Lol.
What captain would do this?

That's a good point. I can't remember Benji getting a send off, except a few pats on the back from his team mates, after he played his last match for WT (against Dragons).

As i just stated in another thread, as if management at the Cowboys would stand back and allow Green to play Thurston in reserves. Its naive to think our CEO would allow Taylor to make this decision if it didn't have his blessing. For that amount of cap beinf wasted in reserves, there must be a very good reason.

I missed that one, strictly speaking I don't care much what happens once the final whistle blows. Except for sometimes hogging the ball (not too often) I find his game all pluses. I can understand hogging when the ball was going out Brooks side with great mess ups. Nothing talks like results and that is the type you want on the field. If a press conference was going to be of the standard of Jason and Aaron debacle last week I would have preferred they did jump the ruddy fence and down a hole. They should leant from Robbie on that one.

In your opinion do you think we should just cut him a cheque for $950k right now and tell him to get on his way?

That funny,

I remember him getting a guard of honour after the Souths home game at the SFS.
