Best prop in the game. What is your problem?

:crazy :crazy

He's up there in the top half dozen but Jesse Bromwich has a better all round game in my view.

x2

He's a big teddy bear most times, scares no one,
Better than a lot, but nowhere near the best, just my opinion

Im a fan of woods, but i dont think it was his best year. He was playing for a penalty everytime he got tackled. The refs caught onto him and stopped giving him penalties even when he deserved one. As a result we had a slow play the ball everytime he got tackled, which put us on the backfoot for the rest of the set. Hopefully someone tells him just run hard, and if your tackled just get up snd play the ball as quick as possible.

Lichaa is rubbish
Fensom is a plodder, that's why he's in reserve grade

Idris is capable if switched on and we need a big hard running centre
Vaughan is just what we need
Moa is just what we need
Whare would be a great pick up

So, with that analysis, you can bet your house that we will sign Lichaa and Fensom and miss out on the rest

I am afraid you may be correct

A decent centre and an explosive hard running forward thst bends the defensive line (moa, evans, vaughan) is just what we need.

Please not another hooker. We have liddle, ballin, littlejohn. spend the money where needed.

1.2m per year is huge. Taumalolo is good but still a forward.

Jackson would be great, especially his defensive work.

I think we need to secure Woods as well. Some don't rate him but there is a good chance he is going to be NSW Cap and that would help draw players as well. From what i read before, Klemmer was considering coming to us because of his connection with Woods. Jackson maybe thinking the same?

I bet every Qlder in the country was overjoyed to hear that Woodsy could be the Origin Captain. God, I hope not.
Nice bloke, but NSW Captain…hope not

Best prop in the game. What is your problem?

:crazy :crazy

In the RLW players poll, Woods was not even in the top 6 props, don't know how far down he was, only listed 6, so fellow players don't rate him. :astonished:

That's interesting.

I still think he gets through plenty of work, he may be 3rd in for a lot of tackles but that still helps slow the play of the ball and is effort on his part. He also makes big metres in games and you can't fake that. He is very jovial and doesn't really play with aggression. But I think he is good.

He would make a great Santa when he gets older!

Well summed up. He is good and gets through a lot of work but he doesn't bend the line, play the ball quickly or scare anyone.
The comment abut being a future Santa is really funny!

That's a bit disappointing. He may not be the best prop going around, but he is certainly up there. Has been one of the best on ground in the Origin arena for 2 years running now - I think he deserves better from his peers.

Lichaa was a gun in the 20s,had heaps of skill. Hasler has Coached the footy out of him, making him a non running defender. He did the same to Ennis, and look how he kicked on at the Sharks. Don't think Lichaa is as bad as some make out.

Moltzen was a gun in the 20's.
So was that fullback we had that was hailed as the next Hodgo- went to Parra, can't remember his name.
Omar Sleimankhel was a gun in the 20's.
Being a gun in the 20's means nothing really.
**Lichaa is really just a dud, it is no mirage. I'd prefer to have Robbie Mears back or Joel Luani before wasting money on Lichaa.**

WOAH WOAH WOAH… slow down there buddy. agreeing with you until the last line. joel luani before lichaa?? no way on earth

I'd take 10 lichaas before getting luani back. a classic NSW Cup player playing up a grade

I know it was a tough game but I thought Vaughan was I bit quiet today, didn't have much impact.

He only played a bit over 20 minutes. I thought he went well with limited opportunities.

Yep. So it's not a case that no-one rates him in the top 6, just that very few think he's the best prop in the game. (I agree with them)

Not only do we need a hooker but we probably need one who can take most of the minutes. Ballin will be lucky to get on the field. Liddle has about 20 minutes of first grade experience. And Littlejohn is an emergency backup at best.

In an ideal world Ballin would start with Liddle coming off the bench. But the chances of that being possible for even half the season are tiny, and if that's the plan the Tigers go into the season with we're all going to have to get used to seeing a lot of Jordan Rankin/Elijah Taylor/who knows at dummy half.

We have Marshall-King, good utility player that can cover # 1, 6, 7 and 9.

Anybody heard much of Ben Evans from Warrington?
Story is he's had talks with the Tigers.

Doesn't appear as though he played a single game last season. We should talk to Ben Currie from Warrington instead.

He was ordinary. As for Woods I think he improved a lot this year. He always gets good metres and that is important but this year has added some real quality ball playing to his game.

I think Woods is one of the top props in the game. I'm not sure who is better.

Ben Evans to leave Warrington Wolves at end of season

By Brian Dodds
Last Updated: 24/09/16 4:24pm

Wales prop Ben Evans is to leave Super League Leaders' Shield winners Warrington Wolves at the end of this season. The 23-year-old has made 22 appearances since joining Warrington from school alongside twin brother Rhys, who plays in the centre. However, injury hampered his progress and he spent much of the last two seasons on loan with Bradford and Leigh. He primarily plays second-row and prop. He is the twin brother of Warrington centre Rhys Evans. Born: October 30, 1992 (age 23), Bridgend, United Kingdom. Height: 1.88 m

Yep agreed, Woods is good! He needs a big runner to join him, especially when woods is off we lose so much momentum.
