Signing Rumours..

A`few things;
1\. It's exactly this kind of media garbage that needs to be ignored.
2\. The 'boys club' mentality, if it does still exist, needs to be STAMPED OUT FIRMLY once and for all!
3\. The Wests Tigers are in the business of winning football games and building a winning culture not pandering to the friendships of the players.
4\. If all the rumors are true, Farah was a destabilizing and divisive influence within the club who had to be removed.
5\. Whether the change of position caused it or not, Siro's form does not warrant a first grade position and if he wishes to be promoted in order to play with his buddies, he needs to show greater energy and commitment.

Well said. Agree on all points, especially 2 and 5.

Sirro is a classic child of the entitled generation. He thinks because of his name and his mates he should automatically be selected in the team. Anything else is somebody else's fault, never his.
Grow up mate, try working a real job everyday. You don't put in the effort you get sacked.

When I actually see a direct quote from Siro complaining about his treatment I might start putting the slipper into him, but at present I see a journo putting one and one together coming up with five. Obviously young Siro doesn't like playing reserve grade and thinks he might have a better chance at another club and if the money is right it is probably a smart move. I certainly do not see anything sinister from the club or Siro

Sirro has been disappointing for a long time.

How long do you persist with a player who just doesn't cut the mustard when compared to others. This guy was a 1st grader for about 5 years now…...how long does it take. ??? Even given that he has had certain injuries over the years, he just will never make a really really good footballer. Look at your Dylan Napa's, Ethan Lowes, Kane Evans, Paul Vaughans......all in 1st Grade since Sirro made his debut or later and all better footballers than Sirro.

And don't forget the photo scandal earlier this year with Sirro............just reckless.

Apart from that he is lazy. Get rid of him.

Sirro saw the writing on the wall some time ago. The fact he took up the option on his contract ( don't know why the club doesn't hold the option instead.....talk about dumb ) means we will subsidize where ever he plays next year...just hopeless.

Lets hope he goes to SL.....may not cost us as much.

Doesn't matter which journo writes something negative about the Tigers (and a lot more than Rothfield do) - they are immediately hacks with an agenda against the club.
Forget your opinion on Sironen's playing ability - he only got dropped after his old man criticised a facet of Taylor's coaching.
Time some people woke up that where there's smoke there's fire.

Why forget his playing ability?
Doesnt that suit your agenda?
His playing stank…end of story

Curtis showed promise, no doubt, but his on field performances particularly lately have been ordinary at best. I can't recall him even being in the top 3 players in an NRL game. I can't even remember him dominating a reserve grade game. You'd be one of the few who thinks he didn't deserve to be dropped based on form. He has nether the work rate nor the impact needed. Unless he improves he's destined for a career always on the move looking for a new club to change his fortunes.

You may be correct CK, but I'd like to know how when there had been a similar cloud of smoke around Farah for the past three odd years as that spewed out of Mount St Helens, you still failed to believe he played with matches?

Doubt that's the only reason he was dropped.
He was hardly impressive playing ISP either.

I think we jump the gun a little too much here.

Rothfield may not like the tigers, a lot of things may be fiction not just about the tigers but other teams in general. And i hate his bias towards Cronulla, but where there is smoke there is fire.

The issue may not be about not playing Sironen in first grade it may be simply about development, communication etc that none of us on this forum see as we sent in the inner sanctum of the club

I believe Sironen had to go along with Farah but bagging journalists on what we believe is unproductive when we as readers may not understand the true extent of any issues.

Do you really believe that Sironen has been mistreated by WT as boldly reported by Rothfield?

When I was coaching a junior rugby league side I was verbally abused by the father of a player who was in the side I was coaching. The father wanted his son to play in a different position to which he was playing. I knew from my experience of coaching the player and watching his son play that he wasn't ready to change positions. I stood my ground even though the father was a sponsor of the club and continued coaching the team.

99% of Taylors critics would back him on his call to drop Siro. The guy has not cut the mustard from day one as a NRL quality footballer. Injuries have not helped him, but he was carried for a few years based on potential and rightly so this year he was dropped. Time to either shape up or shape out for Siro because there are a lot of players on the way up who are just as big all wanting a shot at the NRL

I believe young Curtis played off his dads reputation until Taylor realised he isn't as good as he thinks he is and was dropped to Reggie's to earn his place in the NRL side…..
That was the key thing he had to do..build his own reputation with hard work, good skills and football prowess.....HE has failed in all and now is going down the path of mistreatment... :bawling

Its time for Curtis to move on as he has delivered nothing for the Wests Tigers. He needs a change

Same can be said when a player re-signs or players like Tedesco and Moses come out in the press with their own mouths with positive support of the Coach it gets fobbed of as towing a company line…

I remember that smoke-fire analogy being used a lot when Rothfield was busy telling people Robbie & Benji hated each other.

I agree on form he deserved to be dropped, but so did a lot of other players who kept getting picked every week, the coach showed no consistency or accountability in selections, and this would cause unrest.

Hear hear. Grey areas, as always. Just because I think Taylor is hopeless doesn’t mean I think every decision he makes is necessarily bad.

So anytime a story comes out about the tigers and in particular JT it must be false and garbage. Its funny how so many journalists have vendettas against the tigers and JT. Rothfield, Hooper, Weidler must all be working for Ayoub lol. Come on guys get your head out of the sand, as you perfectly stated where there is smoke there is fire.
