I cannot see Chris Lawrence being re-signed into next year... I think at this stage it would be considered bad management, it’s very clear we need some hard hitting forwards...Unfortunately for Chris he becomes collateral damage with no room to be sentimental our roster has been screwed up well and truly by that idiot at Penrith.

The fact he hasn't signed yet doesn't bode well. Mind you Benji hasn't officially signed on for next year yet if I'm not mistaken.

Unless we can off load some of Ivan the terrible’s ridiculous signings we’re well and truly stuffed for the next couple of years...

I don't doubt Benji tries, and he pulls off the odd great play, but dumb ass Benji comes out way too often, and he has taught Brooks all his bad habits, they are not a good halves combo, one has to go

We have to somehow move on from almost half the squad. Eiso, Lawrence, Taylor, Packer, Matulino, Reynolds, Marshall, Marsters, Momirovski, Mbye, Clarke, Mcqueen, Jennings.

The only players that have potential are Matterson, Mikalele, Aloai, Twal, Talau, MCK (bench only), Brooks?, Nofa.

We are in a bad way with the salary cap.
Madge has to give kids a go for now they need experience we have no chance this year.
Time for Seyfarth, McIntyre, Bradley to get some first grade experience. Lose every game doesn’t matter we may see something in these players.

This is a bad situation as we are 2 years away from doing anything.

I am aware sadly we need talent. Cleary did a job on the Tigers better than JT.

In reality the only likely outcome we have to improve the roster is the medical retirements of Mats and moving in form Mbye. Mbye has been good at centre but you have to lose players others want to get the cap room I can’t see anyone in big money any club would take.

Fast forward season 2020 because its going to be horrible. I have some faith in the following year 2021 when deadwood can actually start being moved on. Again, Madge is the man to bring sensibility to future signings.

MCK has really stood up since signing a new contract. Would prefer Lawrence over him.

I think getting rid of Benji would be a really poor decision.

Liddle could now be gone for many months, and with only 2 spots to fill, we can't carry Grub and Benji, and Benji caused the momentum shift with the crap pass to Nofa, we never got the ball back and manly kept scoring

Actually the pass was good. Nofo wasn’t where he was supposed to be, instead he was a couple of meters behind the play. Benji let him know it too.

I don't think many wouldn't agree, but we lack size, and I mean athletic size, players like Eisenhuth do not get post contact metres, Manly really exposed us last night, look at the metre difference, and the reason they got those repeat sets was the Manly forwards got to our area of the field nearly every set.

Thompson is not a fullback, he does not join into set plays, and Billy Slater said it all.

Masters needs to join the forwards, and recruit a top line centre. Got to feel for Jacob Liddle, you could tell that he was going to give it everything until his injury

@Blocker1963 I do feel for Thompson as he is a very good player but when you are behind a beaten team every week and just defending its hard to show class. Sorry but our forwards need a kick up the A#@ and take some pride in there jobs.
If you watch Thompson play he is consistently backing up and once we get the go forward happening he will be fine..

Nof is out of position way too often. He's gone downhill a lot over the past couple of years. We can't really afford to keep carrying him. He's not even making metres anymore - he only runs sideways!

I'd be happy to make a 700-800k offer for Fifita at the Broncs. He's what we need and he's off contract soon. Given his age, fitness and ability that is a million times better than the contracts we've given Packer and Matulino, even if it's still overs.
He's mates with Mikaele. Maybe, somehow, someway he can convince him to come to us.
