Don’t be surprised if Jacob Liddle’s injury has a big impact on the player market.

If confirmed as an ACL tear, expect @WestsTigers to go all in for Api Koroisau.

Dogs are in the box seat and the Warriors are interested, but the Fijian hooker has a good relationship with Madge

@balmain-boy nofo is a very very over rated winger and is and alway will be a defencive liability

Why is there no dislike button. To get rid of him we would need to completely revamp our forwards. He does more than most of them.

If only he could play on platform boots to make him taller, not sure what more people want.

As the NRL player availability swamp empties we continue to remain silent

Seems we might be cruising the puddles after the leftover flappers and flippers again

If our recruitment and retention decisions are now being made on how many roster vacancies we have, then we have made some bad decisions.

Re-signing fringe first graders like MCK and Thompson could come back to bite us.

If their prices were pushed up by other suitors then they are terrible decisions.

Would have been better off letting them hit the open market and looking for cheaper options.

They should be depth players at best, and the fact that they are considered key first graders shows how bad our roster is.

The fact that we will have to carry guys like McIntyre and Smith who are a long way off first grade standard shows the problems with development player contracts

I liked it when he defensively smashed Taufua into touch..one of the highlight of the game

He and Matterson were so easily our best last night .....picking a 3rd for the 3,2 1 was like looking for water in a desert

I got angry with him when he changed directions and got forced into the in goal in the 2nd half but that was his only bad point

From memory he got taken back in goal twice.

Yeah true , that one was a perfectly placed kick bomb ...I doubt anyone would have stopped him getting dragged into the in goal

Think I have the solution. “Mad Madge “ needs to organise a preseason camp that includes hurdling chainsaws and swimming through a tank of unfed sharks.

Only certain players required. That should create a few medical retirements and open up cap space and roster spots.

I thought his try was one of the best worked moves I've seen in a long time. The pass was pure finesse and the run was sharp and straight with a deft step around Turbo. Not 10 sets of hands and length of the field but up there with the best.

His defence this year has been fine.

Agree regarding his defence, there hasn’t been a time that I can recall where I was like “nofa’s defence let us down again, he is a liability in defence”

Not having Moses and Kevie with their terrible reads in defence has made a big difference he actually has more reliable defenders inside now

@TYGA I don't dare to dream at the moment. If we could get any 2 of those players, I would be very happy.
Letting MBye go though, do you really think we can legitimately consider that, he is our captain, and they usually don't go.

@Harvey lol and can we team up with another team (maybe the Panthers) and train together and "swap notes" as we play with the chainsaws and sharks.

I rate him at centre but he is on big coin. In a perfect world you keep him and I would definitely not subsidise a release. Hard decisions need to be made.

@Harvey Our identification and retention decisions have been appalling.

A Balmain SG Ball team containing Douehi, Suli, Pappenhuyzen and Seyfarth. We also had Tatola from the Balmain juniors and Paseka from Wests.. For a team struggling for NRL talent, we have 5 of the 6 playing regular NRL with the sixth to follow next year. We can produce the talent, but we cannot keep it due to retention decisions.

Personally, I feel Barry O'Farrell must issue a public statement advising changes that have been made to address this issue. I read on a thread another of our best Balmain juniors has been signed by Manly/ O'Farrell should also provide details of what new talent is coming to the club. Time to step up and lead like Marina Go did.
