Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Des is a pro with the media.
Annoying to get a straight answer out of I’m sure….but a bloke who has had a career as an elite player with over 300 games plus another 30 odd rep appearances and 500 games as a coach, with over 4 decades of direct experience all up deserves other stakeholders who’ve achieved nothing in the sport to show him some respect.
Yeah, pretty disappointing, we all get frustrated at times but just being a journo doesn't give him the right to disrespect Des and carry on. Worst thing about it imo was his comment about the crowd. The guys a clown.

The NRL should be having a word to him. I know the journos have a job to do but this was a hatchet job. Coaches don't want to do the press conferences as it is. There was nothing wrong with asking the question, but it was answered whether he liked the answer or not. Very unprofessional.

Api as quoted in the Herald today ..

“For us it’s about making it ugly…We have a bunch of dogs in this team, and we want to play that style of footy. We want to grind it out “…

Hey look… I’m not going to complain how they win games now after being anchored to the bottom the past three years …

That style isn’t going to cut it though if you want to win the Premiership.. they need to be able to win a game several ways, so I hope next season they further evolve ..

Penrith, Roosters and Melbourne will play that style against the Tigers all day…

Good journalists try to corner the interviewee into answering. This bloke just arrogantly asked the exact same question over and over. Des schooled him and the sook became belligerent and started throwing insults.
Extremely unprofessional.
It was the sort of shit a drunken fan would do.
His approach reminded me of you. I’m actually surprised by your position.

Mmmmmm I really am….

How journo's have changed over the years from the old days when they were respectful and a lot of them producing a good read.

To the present day where they will get down in the gutter and play dirty pool to get clicks.

What will it be like in the future will they approach their targets, grab their shirts and start shaking them to get a reaction, bunch of rude D heads most of them.

Much of it comes back to how Murdoch has managed his media, aggressive and pushing agendas without facts including breaking laws if they feel they can get away with it.

Guess it all just comes down to trying to generate as much sensationalism as possible to generate the most interest, long gone are the days of truthful investigative journalism.

I think its probably a sign of where the team is at at the moment, particularly with the chopping and changing in the spine. Conceding that at this stage the style that suits them is an ugly, tough game. I doubt that is Benji's long term vision.

Focus in the off season has to be combinations and fluency in attack

Improvements in D and combo's needed , then watch the points pile on in A

Clearly?

Thats just such a load of rubbish and pure speculation ...seriously think about what you wrote
In another post we see Critta and To'o turning up to Romy's 150th game.

The Penrith crew are a tight unit. That's what I am saying. Staines and Romey are both Samoan internationals...

Heck 1 month ago we see Charlie Staines say he was excited to "Play along side (Taylan) May again!"

Now he is leaving us for Catalan Dragons? Explain to me what's going on Innsaneink, explain like I am 5!
