Not sure how accurate this is but according to Zero tackle, still plenty of handy players off contract end of '17\. Some options obviously unrealistic but still options…

Yes. If we have fonua on board that takes care of thevwing spot. Taane milne wouod be good for centre. we need a couple more good forwards though. If we have mcqueen and lawrence in the 2nd row next season il lose my shit..

Winger - Ferguson
Centre - Gray
Backrower - Hoffman (not on the list above, but is off contract)
Prop - Asofa-Solomona or Lawrence (also not on that list, but is off contract)

I'd still go for Gordon at fullback too and have Lolohea for depth.
 
This should be our team needs next year:

Wing: gela-moseby/reimis smith
Centre: milne/rona
Second-rower: Elliot, CHN
Bench prop: Paasi

I chose gela-moseby on the wing generally because of his speed. We need that speed on the outside because Cleary is generally focusing on power. Reimis Smith would also be a good signing because of his height (196 cm) and his age (20). If you don't know who he is, he's that winger who scored 4 tries on his debut for the Bulldogs last year. For the centre, milne whould be the likelier option because he doesn't have a strating spot. You need a big centre to help out moseby. For 2nd row, Elliot would be the better option because Bulldogs are having salary problems and we need him to compliment our forawrd pack. Then the bench prop, Paasi would not be bad but Twal looks promising.
 
Yesterday the eels ran out

6\. Gutho
7\. Moses

With Norman coming back one needs to move into the centres. So either French/Gutherson will be pushed into the centres/wings. Both are top notch backline players. Keep a close eye on the one who is shafted and make an offer they can't resist. Let them dog it like Mitchell did.

If the rumblings are to be believed the winger is Fonua and the centre is Milne so we're a quality backrower short and a toiler prop short.

As others have said the challenge will be to fill the other 8-10 depth spots not yet filled.

would like ferguson he played really well in SOO.
would like to see IVAN get the pack sorted soon rather than later, we really need a prop and a backrower.
wondering whether fonua and thomspon have been signed or have they fall throw.

If the above is true….all we need is Paasi and Albert Vete and we are looking good.

Was thinking the same thing re: Gutherson and French. The Eels won't want to lose Gutherson because he will be their cover for halfback when Corey Norman starts playing Origin next year or the one after. French looks to be the most expendable out of himself and Gutherson.

IMO Gray is absolute pus. No thanks.
 
Would be very surprised if at least one player was not in the two week cooling off period and expecting Milne to be one of them.
