Thomas mikaele was liking Instagram posts about Souths approach to training and how they took it easy during covid to time their run and peak at finals.

Given what we hear about Madge and the younger guys thought this was interesting

I am sure someone at the club has Bennett’s No so Mikaele the non event can get a run at Souths.. Maybe should of put a bit more into training as his form was crap .. another that has to much to say , if you do not like it move ON!

My thoughts exactly, poor discipline this year and not super hardworking. Seems to have escaped criticism from most. Different positions but would rather keep Garner then Mikaele at this point in time. Garner more upside in my opinion. Mikaele still a long way off starting prop I reckon

Mikaele is very young and an injury which hampered his game.

That’s true, but discipline and effort are my bigger concern at this stage. Shown good potential at times though

There's been some media speculation that Manly are interested in Garner and WT are happy to release him as it will free up some coin.

Davey had already signed with Manly before the Garner rumours which also has both Garners linked to the Coast. I hope the Tigers have a crack at Rieko Ionie as he is keen to try League & I doubt he will be in the All Blacks next game.

Yeah I had doubts that it would happen before manly signed Davey considering we have very few second rowers

Guess we will have to wait and see. We don’t have many second rowers to cover injuries

Yeah looked like it was one of those waiting for the departing Club finished their finals commitments before new Club made an announcement..or it was done pretty quickly..

Been a bit busy lately so have not been able to post any updates. Above all else, there is not really any updates at this stage. Everyone is seemingly waiting patiently for the season to finish before the circus of player movements begin. Most clubs are waiting for the salary cap to be confirmed and see what players become available as a result. It would be somewhat irresponsible of any club to fill their cap with what is currently out there on offer and miss out on a key player who can actually improved the team.

In regards to WT, the Talau rumour is not true in the slightest. The fact that some are questioning the kids work ethic and commitment because of a made up rumour is really, really disappointing.

The main priorities are obviously Addo-Carr and Grant. Both situations have not changed at all. Addo-Carr has agreed to a deal in principle but is contingent on Melbourne releasing him from the final year of his contract. Grant, similarly is waiting on C.Smith to make a call which has not happened yet. However, it is extremely likely that either one of Harry or Brandon Smith wont be at Melbourne next season.
