Anyone truth that the Momorovski/Laurie swap deal set to be confirmed today?

Well it's all over Foxsports - so it must be true.

Excellent news. Strengthens our squad overall

Why would Moma go to Penrith if he wanted to play nrl? Must have been some incentive bucks in the deal?
Anyhow, let’s hope Laurie is as good as his reputation.
Does he play FB then move to 5/8? If so what happens to his predecessor? Does he go to 13?

He's not going there to be backup

He will be their right side center

He will have to make the team first. It'll be interesting how he goes assuming he makes the move.

I really hope this happens because we are desperate for another option at fullback.

Lol he will make the team, just watch

Good business by the club if it becomes official. If a top line lock/ back rower was to fall from the clouds now I’d be prepared to give the club an A grade for their recruitment business this off season. Currently id rate them a B with obviously a few signings that could go either way.

I think people grossly underrate that move from his end, what if he didn't want to go to melbourne last year? then we are stuck with Walters at #9 all year

I've been watching the ESL for the last 10 years and Jackson has been by far the the best Aussie and Kiwi import they've had over those years.

In my opinion the DCE issue was blown out of proportion across media and socials. Yes, he broke curfew and DCE took exception to it, however the media made a mountain out of a mole hill. Trent Barrett and Scott Penn fed into the blowback and only dropped him to keep DCE happy.

We've seen much worse behaviour in the NRL, a lot of players have been forgiven for bad behavior both on and off the field, and in some cases even criminal indiscretions.

If the Tigers are looking to sign Jackson, it's a great move. I'm all for it.

I saw him off the pitch in his time over there, Guys is still an A Grade Goose!!
Don't want him near the club...

That's disappointing to hear, but from what I heard on [Denan's pod](https://podbay.fm/p/bloke-in-a-bar/e/1611126507) he sounds like he's matured and owns his weaknesses.

Most young and rising footy players have stars in their eyes, they say the wrong thing and make mistakes which ultimately affect their brand.

But Jackson hasn't been in trouble with the law and only got called out for breaking curfew due to DCE, Trent and Scott overreacting.

A good half needs to show a strong level of confidence to verbally move the pack and back line around, which Jackson can do.

I'm crossing my fingers that Luke and Adam can do that this year.

If not, Jackson would be an excellent signing.

Nomorovski
Let's hope Laurie Daine turns out to be our Great Daine
It is exciting to know what the new season might bring with all the new players we have signed
Releasing Momorovski is likely to save us a little money i would assume and we still have a spot
On the other hand Penrith would be forking out more $ for Momorovski then they would have for Laurie
That will put a little pressure on their cap to retain their players
I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were to release another player or two in order to resign Yeo Crichton and Luai

My only concern with Momorovski moving to the Panthers is that we have lost one of our best Goal Kickers
We need someone else to stand up or we need to look at bringing someone else in
If Doueihi goes down then we resort back to Mbye
But with the Captaincy relinquished he may do a little better without the added pressure

One thing that baffles me is that Hastings has ripped up ESL and looked a class above it for 2 years now and many people on here still turn their nose up at him and say NO. Yet Gareth Widdop came over last year with a big reputation, did very little and looked average at best, in the very same competition as Hastings yet people still wanted to sign him when he was linked pre Christmas.

Good riddance I say ...
He was surplus to our requirements..

Harsh words Hobbo
I actually liked what Momorovski brought to our club
He always did his job for us
He was solid and a very good finisher
A clean skin unlike many players in the Nrl
I hope he does well as he deserves it
It just sucks its at Penrith

Very good move from the club. Momers was in a position we have depth here and only here for 1 more year. Laurie plays 2 position we are very weak in.

That’s great news this kid has talent. Tigers should be trying to offload Mbye and assist the Sharks to get McInnes by signing Brailey.

Dragons could use Moses Mbye would be a huge asset for them.
