TPJ is a bit more of a gamble, he does have the one thing we really lack which is impact. I think that has been one of our biggest problems this season, though Mikaele has been showing signs of life in that area lately. The teams doing well have forwards that can cause disruption to the defensive line and then get a quick play the ball. We are lacking in that area so can see the attraction that TPJ has to some people.

Hope he turns out good but Magpies are on a great run and hard to fit everyone in

I hope the club is looking at Dale Finucane.

His experience and time.spent in the Melbourne system would ne valuable.

I rate Finucane highly as an effort player, which is what I think we need. But I'd take TPJ over him owing to his youth, his game-breaking ability... his X-factor.
Tamou came from a strong organisation with leadership qualities, yet he's been slandered over his measurable stats. How can you quantify, and put a value on, influence? For all we know his mentoring has been the reason our young forwards are improving.
Finucane could bring that quality, but he can't learn how to be an X-factor.
TPJ posses the intangibles and is a certified game breaker who can learn how to be a leader. This year alone he's shown more discipline than previously so I see growth in him on a maturity level.
Our whole squad needs to brush up on attitude but when we do, I think we'd be far better off with TPJ in the side.

Tuilagi seems to have that bit of impact about him, but it is an area we are very light in.

To me with TPJ it would all come down to the one aspect I have no access to and it would be the conversations during negotiations. Its whether he has the traits to overcome is inconsistencies, what he brings to the team in other areas, is he the type of personality that fits the team and environment we are trying to create and foster. Those answer can only be found by getting to know the guy as it is undeniable that he has talent. Its whether that talent can be harnessed

I think he just started this year too far behind the 8 ball. He needed to be here in November or December, not March or April. He just got here too late to really make any meaningful impact in 2021.
