some good suggestions there, i wouldnt mind Curtis Scott, someone with a bit of mongrel and show a bit of passion

Yeah he's main issues seems to be fitting in a footy squad

He might help by punching a few of our current players in the head

That's he's specialty.

Wouldn't be surprised if he found Stuart too intense

At any rate it looks like yet another really great youth signing. Our scouts are plucking them from everywhere!

70% of them wont make 1st grade and 60% of those that do will be pinched by another club if they show any ability.

Mate your 70% is a bit generous, it’s more like 90%. The other day I went through all the SG Ball squads from around 5 to 6 years ago to see how many actually went onto FG. Most teams it was about 2, I think Penrith had 4or 5 and Balmain had 3.

Although in our case now we have little choice but to go down that path as we can’t attract NRL players to our club

Longtime reader only a new poster so be kind

Some suggestions (absolutely understand some aren't realistic haha)

- sign peachey (great utility value)
- resign roberts on absolute min $$ (good for indigenous pathways)
- sign Adam Elliott if sacked
- offer the cheese 1 mill a season , if Melbourne want players in return send them liddle and nofo
- offer brooks to Canberra in return for Joseph tapine
- sign Curtis Scott on min $$ (he is a better defender than any back in our club)

Welcome

Looking at the Melbourne game last night, I wondered whether the Cheese or Harry secretly wished the other bloke wasn't there. Both of them are guns and are number one hookers in most other teams. Both would play huge minutes in other teams. I know they are both on the field at the same time with the Cheese playing in the back row, but we know he sees himself first and foremost as a hooker.

I really think we need to offer either Grant or Smith hooker and 1mill and see what happens.. Its totally worth the little risk it might be and you get your 9 sorted longterm. Grant knows our system and Smith would play injured if it meant winning.
I have also said Peachey would be a great pickup as covers a lot of positions and I see the eels are now interested as Titans are offering him 200k... That is embarrassing and we could surely offer 400-450k for him for 2 years.. Sometimes I think our recruitment team are so focused on looking long term they miss whats staring them in the face for a short term win..

Elliot and Curtis Scott , our mad Monday’s would be good

Don't Elliot and the Bulldog boys grab each other's tackle?
Is that your idea of good?
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

No idea what your talking about but they are both pi55 heads

Tim Sheens said I believe around 3 from NYC was a good year. We had Fifita, Woods, Dwyer and Lui from one. Balmain had Seyfarth, Suli, Papenhuyzen and Doueihi from one SG Ball team.

What about Dylan walker ? He’s on 450k at manly and is off contract this year. He can play a few positions but would definitely be a starting centre for us

Bulldogs mad Monday.
They stripped naked at a pub and there was tackle grabbing involving Elliot. He needs to lock up his old fella.

Curtis Scott hasn't played a good game in years and has serious alcohol issues

Don't think we've ever signed a player like that who's ended up finding form again. Steer clear of him I reckon

Madge will get us there , it’s a work in progress , all this Madge bashing is rubbish just support your team and reap the benefits

And what are the benefits for you, aside from getting to post on here? I get a good laugh from supporting the team most weeks.

I thnk he meant future benefits.

Yeah. And what will those be?

Definitely against signing Adam Elliott. Bloke is a grub and his teammates want him sacked

If we can not pick up a decent centre could Luke Brooks play centre with Madden 5/8 and Hastings at half back. Brooks has pace and can defend. Yes he is small. Thoughts and be kind

Team morale would be a concern with Elliott onboard.

Tbh think we really need a starting prop to partner Stefano and a left centre before anything else.

100%. These have to be our priority areas.
A centre with some pace is a must.
