I wonder if we will be allowed a thursday night game next season lol

Business seems keen to get workers returning to work on a three day week, Tues-Thurs. Some things will be different working with Covid.

You will soon know if what I read this week is correct. There was news that the 2022 draw could be completed and issued as early as next week.

Not with the Dolphins around.

I would be very surprised. That seems early and it is always delayed at the last minute

We need at least two and probably three quality signing to get off the top line on the bookie boards for the spoon. Sadly it’s not going to happen.

There’s is some NRL hierarchy chatter today about the importance of having more balanced rosters and have a competition where teams begin each season with genuine hope for competitiveness.

That includes the possibility of a rookie draft. So Clubs with some $$$ cap space like WT may hold off some money to see how any of this that pans out and if it impacts 2022 recruitment year.

We’ll get a banged up 32 year old hooker though.

They need to do something, especially with a 17th team coming in. Long gone are the days of the mid 2000’s where anyone could beat a top side on their day. It’s one of the reasons the game has been so unwatchable the last couple of years

Not interested in a draft to be honest.

PVL is an absolute moron. There's one big reason there's a huge gap between the top and bottom teams more than ever this year... THE STUPID RULES HE MADE

A draft wouldn't help struggling teams at ALL. Broncos let go of Walsh and Walker, we let go of Paps, Paseka etc, bad teams already suck at identifying junior talent, as if they'll make smart picks in a draft! Harry Grant went unnoticed in reserve grade for years!

He should reverse the rules back to 2019 rules if he wants the competition to be closer.

IMO there would be less blow outs but the ladder order would be more or less the same.

A draft, with certain conditions, would be a great idea.

But there's absolutely zero chance anything of this magnitude getting off the ground in time for 2022.

Hard not to be when you look back at the last ten years and in particular last year.

It’s a by-product of the club’s useless record over the past decade, with likely another putrid season incoming.

No thank you, last thing I want to see in the game is tanking.

What’s to be positive about with a club who hasn’t played finals for 10 years with sign of them in the foreseeable future. It’s just being realistic.

I wonder if there will be no fines for clubs that can't spend 95% of their cap with the Dolphins ...surely the NRL can't make you front load contracts ...especially with the mess of the Dolphins coming in...
