Been reported on the Dragons forum that Packer is very keen to stay at the Dragons and is going to sign an extension on Wednesday.

If this is true we are once again going to be shorts on Props.

We are signing Matulino to replace Woods which leaves us with Grant Ava and Jesse Sue.

Ava is reportedly on his way to the Sharks, Grant getting the boot and Jess Sue I imagine would be re-signed.

That however leaves us back in the same position we have been in for years, not enough forward strength. !.

Hope that Cleary can pull a couple of tough props who can bend the line otherwise our rebuild will be for nought !.

good news if we miss out on packer it would be hard to support the side with that criminal in the side

Any other props worth chasing if we happen to miss out on Packer too?

There's not massive quality on the market at this point but I've been told that dogs (obviously) panthers and roosters are gonna be under the pump cap wise with it not being 10 mil so might get some there with teams looking for cap relief. I'd still look at pulu, paasi, ofahengaui, stockwell, kafusi and masoe as potential bench forwards and depth signing

Off contract and worth a look at for prop:
Patrick Kaufusi (probably stay with Cowboys)
Agnatius Paasi
Leivaha Pulu
Albert Vete (sounds like Titans)
Russell Packer (probably stay with Dragons)
Nelson Asofa-Solomona (probably stay with Storm)
Viliame Kikau
Kane Evans (gone to Eels seemingly)

Or we look at ESL options like Chris Hill or Alex Walmsley. No idea if they'd be interested in coming to the NRL but our salary cap is much, much larger than the ESL salary cap.

Ava is also managed by Isaac Moses, so the chances of staying are slim.

It was not a brawl he punched someone to the ground and then stomped on his head when he was defenceless.The act of a man who should still be in jail he could have killed him.

Just read an article from NZ about Matulino signing with the tigers. It states during the article we have approached the roosters about connor watson but the rorters declined. Can anyone confirm this?
If they are not willing to talk watson then latrell is definitely off the table!!! Hopefully the rumours are true and TMM is coming back home, love that kid.

Yeh I doubt the fact that Ava is managed by Moses will have much impact on whether he stays or goes.

If I was Ava I would be thinking about my role in any other team. Here he is highly regarded, currently a starting prop. He wouldnt be starting for the Sharks next year, you would think.

With all Doom and Gloom Woods's siging has NOT been confirmed or made official.
Who knows, he might have a change of heart now that we have a Rep Front Rower to help him.

I read one article that mentioned offer has been pulled off the table but if he wants to stay we will sign him

In the papers it's saying Alex Johnstone is only going to play fullback wherever he signs….what are people's thoughts about him? I know he has speed and movement but I'm really not too up on how he goes

Why does everyone think if we got matulino we cant afford woods? farah and sironens monet we can use next year which is a million. Get rid of some players and wel be up to 2-2.5 mill to spend. get rid of woods and tedesco and it be 3.5-4 mill

No thanks. For some reason I dont like his playing style. He hasnt played fullback well enough to be demanding he plays there in his next contract.
