Tigers knock back Klemmer trade
17:09
Wests Tigers deny they are in trade negotiations with Newcastle over axed prop David Klemmer.
Klemmer has been dropped by the Knights this week, who said it was punishment for yelling at a trainer, but rumours are circulating the Hunter club is trying to offload the former Origin star.
One suggestion was Klemmer could go to the Tigers, in exchange for halfback Luke Brooks.
But Sydney Morning Herald journalist Christian Nicolussi tweeted incoming Tigers coach Tim Sheens denied that was an option.
Might finish the year with more wins than Brooks... see what happens.don't think so

Daine Laurie did his knee in the early rounds. It wasn't the broken leg that stopped him. It’s taken Daine Laurie 12 months to get back to playing his best footy.
While you may technically be right about the number of games you really can’t compare a torn calf to a broken leg that requires surgery.
The fact Hastings isn’t a player who relies on his speed or agility probably makes it a little bit easier to come back from but he’s going to miss the majority of the off-season which is less than ideal.
Hope so. Even without looking at who our WT are to play, and the players missing, still reckon we are a better chance than under our previous coach.Might finish the year with more wins than Brooks... see what happens.

Within reason, each and every week, the further that we get away from the stifling past few years, the further we should progress.
All teams above us on the ladder, but that's not hard when there is only the Titans below.I hope so too.
Isn't the easiest of draws.
We've got sharks, roosters, raiders.
Always harsh games for us.
I'm over discussing Brooks.
Just want us to win more games and push for finals, moving forward.
In the perfect world,All teams above us on the ladder, but that's not hard when there is only the Titans below.
I don't want the spoon, so a win or two would be nice, as would a signing or two to finish off the year.
Really, as you wrote this recently just above?I'm over discussing Brooks.
the Brooks hate gogglesReally, as you wrote this recently just above?
A professional would likely call it an obsession.
with Brooks in the team in 2023 we are finals boundI hope so too.

ironic
That's already the case isn't it?Might finish the year with more wins than Brooks... see what happens.
We will see....with Brooks in the team in 2023 we are finals bound
Panthers/Sharks he would be backup, doubt they would offer decent coin as well. He won’t push Cleary or Hynes out.Just read that 4 other clubs are interested in signing Madden. Penrith, Newcastle, titans and cronulla. We need to get this sorted urgently, being reported he will make a decision in the next week or so on his playing future.

Here’s an idea keep both but give madden first shot at halfback put brooks in reserve grade madden is bound to have hickups along the way no harm in having an experienced half as a backup
