I think it will be BJ and Doueihi

Leilua is lazy and will not tackle. An ISP cup position but even then he is blocking the pathway of a younger player. Doueihi at 5/8

BJ is going to want to be on fire from the outset of 2021 or Madge will have him in ISP bloody quick.

Totally agree with that .. however I do believe that we didnt use him enough last season. BJ is a line busting outside back that should be used as a strike weapon close to try line. It take 2 or 3 defenders to stop him and if the defence does put 2 or 3 defenders in on him, he will either break the line, .. or get held up by the 3 defenders, but then be able to give an off load to an unmarked winger .. !!

He may be a line buster but his defence in the most crucial position is woeful. He's 28 now so it is most unlikely he will improve. Our issue is defence. We cannot afford to carry him especially with Nofoaluma outside. It is our Achilles heel and our defence won't improve until we put a player in the position who can defend.

Funny thing is i don't think Madge would of hired him if it was a attitude thing.
Don't want to sound mean but think it might be an issue of footy smarts.

Hopefully without benji next to him will improve as well

OK I've just read pages of people posting about BJ Leiluia.

Has anyone heard about any potential new signings for 2021. I read Hooper's article suggesting JAC might be heading to the Bulldogs??? Anything, anyone coming our way for 2021, besides Tamou? I think we all need a bit of hope for 2021. Sure 2022 might be better when we can offload a few overpriced players, but we need a strong 2021 to attract other players. Who will want to come to us if we miss the finals again next year?

You quoted THIS FORUM as your source that Maguire didnt sign (by extension want) BJ and Pascoe signed him without Maguire. Firstly you have no idea if that is true, no one here knows if that is true and the club is EXTREMELY unlikely to come here and verify that.

Was it the Grand Final where he didn't demonstrate urgency to get back into the defensive line and the Chooks attacked where he should have been and scored? I remember also he bombed a try by hogging the ball. 12 point turnaround in a Grand Final. No wonder Stuart was so keen to move him on, to us!

He was at DH - but don't let that stop you from piling it onto him - Oh! right!

And I'll continue to do so. He is supposedly a professional footballer being paid a significant amount of money working mum and dads in the many areas of Sydney, Queensland, ACT and Melbourne could only dream about. Stop and think about those families in Melbourne who have lost their businesses and employment due to the lockdown.

Compare that to your mate who couldn't be bothered getting fit or improving his defence. And you aren't shy of sticking the boot into Marshall whom. was a far greater player than Leilua could ever dream of being.

If you think that BJ won't be playing centre next year, you'll be sadly disappointed.

Agree Marshall as you said "WAS" a greater player than BJ - but he still wouldn't give him the ball.
If you don't believe me look at the games again - I'll save you the trouble - he wouldn't.

We'll see how he goes next year with a new 5/8.

Just watched ex WT's player Mark Flanagan just play his last game for Salford in a losing CC Final v another ex WT's player Rob Lui

Oh Rob Lui....

I so wish we could have coached him and reformed his women bashing problem. The Bulldogs did it with Ben Barba and Ben just kept acting entitled. I think though Robert had respect in him and that to loose so close 1 game in from the final was too much emotionally. Unlike Ben, Robert Lui would have reformed (clearly he is still playing).

It's a huge leap to go the reformation path. So many break it. So many do make it. I would like a NRL wide management approach to this and an approach that just doesn't give second chances to Barba and Carney and it's talent.

Anyway, we need a good half like Lui was.

Knowing the Roosters. If Sualli develops it will be Flanagan/someone else at half, Sualli to 6 and Keary to whatever team will take his 900k contract on.

The team is incredibly fickle. I have no idea why players would want to play there and be flicked the next year.

I thought that was the reason we were passing up Marshall.

Was speculated for a while but it seems will be staying at 30 though no announcement of that yet.
