Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Maybe we should what others clubs do to us , pick a backrower who is on crap money and double it , and see if we can get them to walk out on there club .

Hopefully mole is right this time. Cini and Laurie swap is a win win. Great bit of business by Hartigan.

Makes sense tbh Cini is a Penrith boy too, pretty sure he knows all the juniors there and is familiar with the coaches etc

Great to have money and spots available but don’t really see who we would sign to fill our roster. Sorenson seems a decent option but I hope someone else can become available

It’s rugby league....

Players will become available in the blink of a second, regardless of there contracts

Dare I write it but player welfare issues can arise at anytime.

Given he probably reads the forum, I'm not surprised he likes to tee off on us in retribution for the caning he gets on here.

I can't stand the bloke or his employer, but maybe it's best to just ignore him - and everything he writes - instead of poking the bear. Like it or not, he can do way more harm to us.

Fight fire with fire I say
If a person is nice, you be nice back
What does the bible say
And eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth

I don't see a need for any reporter to continuously bag any club, ours or anyone else's
There is no need for it
These people have all the power with media
I don't know what some of these reporters think they get out of bagging clubs and players
They are in a position of power and they should use that power wisely
Most of us are sick of the bagging our club gets

You know what they strange thing is, if these sports reporters made favourable comments about our club, they would have 10s of thousands more followers then they currently have
Think about it
Why would any wests tigers supporter subscribe to a News paper or media outlet just to read the bagging that we cop through these reporters
Its not good business for the paper, media outlet
A successful business needs to win its potential customers over
Not install hate in them and drive them away
Its a bad business model that they are running

To be successful in business you have to be nice to your customers
All of them, not just the ones you feel like
It certainly works for me in my business

It really is time for some of these media personalities to change there ways
Is it really that hard for these people to find the positives in all the clubs
Let's not dwell on the bad all the time

Sorry mate , but you’re actually wrong .unfortunately mnegativity sells . The Murdoch media has it sussed . Things like news of the world have proven its a news limited strategy , to find dirt on someone popular , or something popular , and flog that dead horse.

Single handed , they are the ones who drove tabloid media , and gutter journalism world wide . And unfortunately , due to the amount of clicks a tigers article generates , they will continue to do it .

We’ll see I guess, if we look at it arguably our 3 biggest signings Roberts, Ofanghue and Laurie all were contracted for the next year at the current club and all got early releases

I’ll look at putting a good deal to Curtis Sironen, offering Garner to help speed the process up

Shoutout to Brett Hodgson, sending him to Hull was all part of the plan

Surly Hull need a decoy running prop as well ?

Add in getting rid of Reynolds and swapping Cini for Laurie and it’s a pretty good off season. Add in potentially three more spots to be filled and it could be very very good for us

Just need to make sure we hold onto our guys we want to keep like Nofa and Musgrove. Holding onto Blore was massive too

Assuming the Reynolds to Hull story is true, I hope Josh has better luck over there with injuries and other personal issues that have impacted his career and his life over the past few years. Always gave his best whenever he got the call. Good luck mate, hope you and Hodgo can win some stuff over there!

I don't think that is an option for the club, the original noise from it was coming from the Manly side of things.

Not really sure about Mansour, but we do have a problem on the left wing unless Kepaoa suddenly learns how to catch. Talau is too slow for the wing IMO.

As it stands now whoever is on that left wing will be heavily targeted and lack of experience on the left wing cost us both games against Souths this year IMO.

Kapoa had eye surgery after the discovered an issue which blurred his vision when looking up...

Should have worn glasses.

It was an issue with the muscles around his eyes.

I was joking, glad he’s had it fixed - I like him as a player.

So do I, I would still have him under a lot of high balls over the preseason. Have Mbye join him as well.

If Mbye and AJ can get their handling together they’re both really good players. We all joke about Mbye but he’s a quality player.

I really like Mbye as a fullback, I always have.

Me too, when he came across mid season in 18 he was fantastic, probably our best player for the second half of the year. I think a mix of injury and lack of confidence destroyed him. If he can get his confidence back this off-season he’ll be great.

When he drops a bomb it seems to effect him and he will have a run of them. AD should practice his boms every training session with Mbye waiting under them.

I thought you guys were talking about Moses
Mitchell Moses that is
He would have made a brilliant fullback
Apparently he has never dropped any balls

If he did, they were very small balls.

Haha good one. Mitch's tiny tic tacs to go with his pea heart.

This swap isn’t as hopeful as people think, not ruling out Laurie coming early but swap not looking good at this stage.

I'd be throwing the kitchen sink at Angus Crichton and have a crack at Stephen Crichton for 2022. See if we can get McInnis for 22 then see if we can get him released with Liddle going the other way for 2021

Thanks mate ! But what you’ll find is he has a huge proportion of ownership of print media worldwide , in western countries. Which is why we always mention him . I can’t remember if I’m right , but I’m pretty sure news limited owns something like 60% of the USA, UK and Aus media . Canada were the only country years ago , to tell them to eat turds ?

If Reynolds leaves its great having the $500k for next season but who will take it up? We have cash now to spend.

It’s great to have another roster spot but I’m more worried about not being able to spend the cash we have let alone another reported $500k

Who will take it up? A second rower hopefully.
