DT reporting Hull FC have offered Benji Marshall GBP400,000 for one season. Hodgo the new coach, the boys club never dies

He should be interested in Reynolds and Packer would be strong over there. Would be a great career move.

One down.

Sent this from a guy in PNG

Edene Gebbie is on a development contract with West Tigers. The PNG Hunters coach Matt Church confirmed that Gebbie is not among the Hunters contingent to relocate to Queensland to participate in the Intrust Super Cup competition.

Church confirmed he is in contact with West Tigers officials to see how can he assist in Gebbie's fitness during the transition.

This should be a welcoming news for Tigers fans who have been advocating for Gebbie's inclusion in our 2021 roster. He gives a lot of options in the backline (fullback, wing & center).

I think it's train and trial not development yet and I did tell him it's Wests..

He will be here for 2021.

What’s going on with Packer? Few people are saying Penrith are interested in him

With Josh gone, I make it 3, unless The PNG kid is a spot or Laurie arrives?

That then means 1 or 2 with a bucket load of cash to spend.

Whats up with us making a few shrewd moves here, very un tigers like 😀

If Gebbie is coming thats also good business, i've always liked the look of him admittedly i havent seen a great deal of him.

Any other news? About the swap or anything else with players

For me the priorities would be Harry Grant, Angus Crichton, JAC in that order

2021 would be a bonus for any of these but not impossible, these things move in mysterious ways and I feel we are still holding a fair chunk of spare cap, up to $900k (assumes Seyfarth signed) and we have some flexibility on Garner and Liddle who are likely on around $300k each

Dare to dream but that would make one a definite possibility for 2021 if they became available but harder to see how you do two of them
Two base replacements would leave $1.25-1.3m for AC & say HG, might not be impossible on a multi year deal

Add in $0.5m from JRey and this is definitely possible. I’d say goodbye to Liddle & Garner and hello to Harry & Angus
.... and yes I do realise both are under contract but seems to be possibilities on both
Do that and it’s officially the greatest offseason in West’s Tigers history

Hopefully mole is right this time. Cini and Laurie swap is a win win. Great bit of business by Hartigan.

This swap isn’t as hopeful as people think, not ruling out Laurie coming early but swap not looking good at this stage.

what's the issue?

Have we offered Cini for Laurie as suggested? Riff rejected the offer?

Yeah starting on a Train and trial contract, looking at a development contract for 21.

The guy’s 25 and will be 26 for God’s sake. If he gets a development contract it makes a mockery of the concept and just takes up another opportunity for somebody younger. If he was going to develop he should have done it by now.

Not a very considered post, is it? Harry’s a long-term game and with how we’re rolling at present I’d much rather leave things be - with him retaining a unanimously positive image of us

In fact, Curly, not to be rude but leave it to the big boys and maybe not reply to yourself?

IMHO, Crichton is realistic and could prove a good target but having personal experience with him I’d say we aren’t a club on HIS radar. Sironen to return would make much more sense.

Not really, in Gebbies situation he has a lot to work on before he is genuinely ready for a top 30 spot but these are improvements he should make.

So no chance of playing until Round 16? Seems strange for a guy who has had a full season in Reggies, when we have plenty of spots free (pending JR leaving).

It is possible he will get a top 30 contract but the club is currently putting him on a train and trial contract with the eye to him being a development player as he is still very raw and hasn't had the access to the training a lot of the other guys have growing up.

Well any players who have performed well but aren’t on big dollars should now be aware that we can pay them good. Hopefully their managers let them know

I thought Harry was great, but he plays too hard,i suspect many injuries. And why with LIDDLE and SIMKINS is he a priority?
