Lets be honest with ourselves now..... We are a Club in desperate need of help after today disgusting performance and we have absolutely no chance at all of getting quality players here unless we pay massive overs... NO CHANCE
Hell I would not come here unless it was big $$$$ either ..

So people we need to re assess our targets and should except any player/s and be grateful they want to come here.

Even for big $ I would not come here. Only if it was late in my career and I was looking for a payday.

Dragons and Dogs are the two teams interested in Milford.

Xavier Coates and Staggs were both looking likely to stay at the Broncos, however Bellamy is has signed on to coach another season at Melbourne (2022) then he will move into a consultancy role which has seems to have convinced Coates to move to Melbourne. Papenhuyzen will also re-sign. Staggs will likely stay at Brisbane due to Gold Coast pulling their interest.

Naden had verbally agreed in to join from 2022 and was hoping for an early release this year, however dogs have offered more money (Eels interested but have not formally offered- Eels offer would be slightly less than ours). If he can get a release this year he will be at the Tigers. If not he may be at the dogs as the Tigers offer is only better if it includes this year.

Joey will be released at the end of the year at this stage with Mbye and Packer moving on. Amone, Mikaele and Seyfarth are playing for a new deal. Chee Kam and Walters will likely leave. Should have about 2.2million for next season depending on how much of Mbyes deal will be subsidised. That money will primarily focused on a winger, centre, second rower/lock. The club will likely sit back and see who becomes available throughout the year and at the end season for those spots. Very big emphasis on getting the "right" player rather than spending the money for the sake of it.

Any news on what’s happening with Madge? Are we looking for a new coach or change of CEO? Why do the boys look unhappy ?

We had plenty of ball in their 20 but we couldn't break the line
Both teams were tackled 20 times in the opposition 20 which says something
Manly's backs scored 6 tries
Our backs scored 0
It was a lucky try from us
We need to be able to break their line more often with the ball in hand
All the hard work to get us there and we always seem to struggle to put the ball down over the line
It doesn't install alot of confidence in the team and we drop our heads
We had 52% of the ball in the 1st half And 6 points from a lucky try

They are having their best season for a while. Haven’t won a game yet but not getting flogged every week. Madge is also looking at the Capras coach coming into assist.

This is 100% right. The coach talks about us not responding to momentum shifts in the game. The problem is that when we have the momentum running our way we rarely do anything with it.

Parramatta game we had heaps of ball at their end no points, they get one chance and score.

Cowboys 2nd half we go on a run and look good one call goes against us, 6 tackles later they score

Souths a lot of chances to get further in front and we fall away at the back end because we couldn’t score when we had the chance.

Manly heaps of quality ball at their end. 1 lucky try and they get one opportunity/break and score 40 points.

Our defence is rubbish, our attack is rubbish, our effort is rubbish. Really hard to know what to like about this team at the moment.

No one would want to come and play here at the moment of any class. It’s all good to suggest this player and that player to fix the line up but players aren’t going to sign up for some 2 rate side if other NRL clubs want them.

There was a point during the Jason Taylor era, where the 3 worst teams in the comp were clearly us, Gold Coast and Newcastle Knights

Newcastle now have Ponga, Pearce, Frizzell, Klemmer and Brailey

Titans now have David Fifita, Brimson and Tino

Both teams pushing for top 8 spots

We have.... ?

Left with no improvements or generational player to build for, it shows how poor our recruitment must be that we seem to be the only team to struggle signing big players when the other teams who were in worse positions than us seem to nab everyone, we need to be more aggressive in recruitment and not keep singing other teams rejects and push for a marquee player... should’ve got Latrell and JAC, but instead we end up with “the jet”

Bulldogs are even doing it now, they don’t sit around and try sign rejects they turned around and signed Burton, Cotric, JAC and Flanagan now they want the cheese. They aren’t gonna sit around and try the “developmental approach” like we have, where all it’s left us is in constant disappointment due to whenever the young players who develop leave us before they hit there primes cause they realise the basket case we can be and we’re stuck at the same spot we started in.

Here’s our opportunity, go get a Reynolds and maybe even a Kotani Staggs. We have the cap space, I don’t wanna see a Naden type signing cause it’s a repetitive cycle that’s obvs not working, be aggressive

We have to copy Penrith it’s the only way for us. We have the third biggest junior nursery in NSW and we can’t attract players. I sense we are only now doing this but our own juniors are the only way. The club has to create the culture and setup to make players want to stay.

The bigger issue was around Musgrove in the middle and a general lack of substitutions. Were Mbye and Musgrove the only two subs in the first half? We were tired but opted to keep the same players out there that were getting out matched in the forwards.
