James Roberts has shaved his head so expect about 75-80% more aerodynamics this weekend.

that bonding session must've been off it's nut if we've got blokes shaving their heads after it.

He is probably hoping nobody will recognise him after his diabolical effort on the weekend

I don't know James Roberts, or where he is at, but I'm a bit worried about this. These sorts of dramatic, self-abnegating gestures sometimes speak to deteriorating mental health. Not scaremongering - probably just footballers with time on their hands - but it doesn't strike me as good.

Wests Tigers ward off NRL rivals to tie down young hooker Jake Simpkin on lengthy deal

With all the doom and gloom at the moment, this is super welcome news. Thanks for your limited service Liddle, all the best at the bulldogs next season

Liddle won't have to call anyone. There'll be plenty lining up for him.

There is no reason why we cannot have two hookers of quality in the squad. Liddle is a loyal and fine player for WTs. I want him at WTs.

Here's a reason.
Liddle's a quality player that will snapped up by a top 8 club.
He's nobody's second fiddle.

Just throwing it out there he can't get a run in on the worst team in the comp at the moment.

He has the running game but needs to work on service

Yeah......because our mob's great at identifying actual talent aren't they.

Mate he had 5 rounds to prove himself. He had first shot. Blew it.

I mean you can look at it in a negative light but you can also look at it positively as maybe him putting the foot down commitment wise to the club. Putting whats already happened in the season behind him and becoming a new jet for the rest of the season. It's a dramatic change sure but theres no way to know whether it's positive or negative. Or if it means anything at all.

My first thought as well. I genuinely worried about the bloke. He doesnt look right at times on the field.

Or you can just look at it as if he got a haircut ?

True99, I don't know the bloke. And like I said they have a lot of time on their hands and it probably just means 'change'. It's just something I've known from others in my life who have struggled with mental health, so my mind went there. Am hoping the club is around him with support this season.

the only way madge is going to buy someone decent is to go to england, because no one in australia wants to play for him, what ever went wrong at souths, no one decent wants to play for him, how does a winning coach, get sacked a year later, something isnt right, lets get benji and farrah back as dual coaches, players love these two guys and they are westigers thru and thru, give them a go

Maybe he did it as his penance.

No surprise a centre not getting much ball, let alone decent service resorts to shaving their head to be noticed.

Maybe the halves will now confuse him for a forward and pass him the ball.

Well Madge has got young talent all over the shop come over to play under him. Uto, Simpkin and Simpkins, Doueihi, Laurie, Hoffman. Madge isn't really playing the "lets sign as much talent as possible for the first grade" game. He's pretty much focused on young talents and building junior pathways for long term success. If we really and I mean really wanted to sign players like Naden we'd have offered 500k to him to outbid the Dogs but thats not Madges gameplan.

why did he offer latrell $300,000 more then other clubs, latrell turned him down

Because Latrell is a talent but he didn't want to or wouldn't be able to handle the pressure of being our marquee signing. So he went to a team of champions instead at the bunnies instead of taking up the pressure of being the main man at the tigers.

Latrell revealed somewhere that he thought about it and he didn't want to be the marquee player for WT. He knew the pressure would be too much for him to handle.

Wouldn’t he be the main man at south’s though?

I don't reckon, they're pretty alright without him. He adds to the team but he's hardly the only or main strike weapon of the team. It's not like how Turbo turns Manly from cellar dwellers into an actual force.

you said thats not madges way, and i just proved he was willing to pay overs, so madge will pay more, im right and your wrong

That's a very simplistic way of looking at things. Just cause Madge is focussed on junior development doesn't mean if a generational player like Latrell were to come on the market he wouldn't make a big play for him.
