It was announced weeks ago but the DT just wanted to put the boot in again - the headline reads "How roosters trumped tigers in race for veteran" -LOL - honestly this rags journalism gets lower every day. Of course there is not one single quote from anyone associated with the tigers saying we were looking at Kev.

It just goes to that the DT is as divorced from reality as its owner

What’s with all this hate for Laurie? He’s 22 and had played 3 NRL games before coming across. He joined late in the off season. And was expected to fill in an important role in an unsettled spine. Yes he’s got things to work on but so does after one after one year in the top grade.

not hate for Laurie just don't think he is or will be that special tedesco talent nsw Australian fullback etc
Laurie will be a very very solid first grade fullback maybe come five eighth hope he kills it but think will be a key part to a growing spine, not that special freak player

Not many players are. I’d take a good solid fullback at this point. I think he can build towards above being just solid personally.

If Dylan Edwards is a good enough fullback to win a comp with Laurie is more than good enough.

There’s not many big names out there though. Smith and Ponga might be their only marquees

I think they will lure a few away from the final year of their contracts once they get the ball rolling

Yep. I think Mikaele will hit his straps this season and sign good money with the Dolphins..not far from Goodna his family is still up there. I've got a lot of time for him. I don't think he's come out of his shell yet.

That’s the thing we need to build a solid base and they and get the next level players after that. Too many of our squad are people standard or just not ready.

He could be damaging just feels like something is holding him back. Once it clicks I think he could become a real star
