I don't know why, but for some reason, I'm more excited about our future than i have been for a long time. If we can make a couple of shrewd buys, 2022 isn't the write off I thought it might be.

To be fair to our basket case club, it nailed last off season and so far is doing great in this one

It's the bits in between that are the problem.

It’s a tough gig. Don’t get me wrong I don’t have any real sympathy for them. They have chosen to be their and for all I know they earn a bomb. But it must be frustrating for them when they think everything is heading in a planned direction when suddenly they get side swiped. Crap thing for them is were all watching.

This from Gould who stated on Ch 9 Monday League show that when asked about the Tigers he said that the only way for clubs like the Tigers and lower ranked clubs is to build within (developing juniors)..'its not a short term fix'. Well the hypocrisy is mind blowing.

The part he mumbled as he walked away was “unless you have stack of money and a plan to drop some big names and replace them with other big names” Then hope like hell that Barrett can coach them. If not Barrett cops it for being a bad coach.

**COWBOYS OFFER UP HOOKER IN LEILUA SWAP BID**

Wests Tigers have rejected a straight player swap from the Cowboys as North Queensland attempt to take Luciano Leilua immediately.

It is understood the Tigers were offered hooker Reece Robson in the hope that would allow Leilua to join the Cowboys next season.

However, the Tigers poured cold water on the deal and have so far blocked any attempt for Leilua to exit his deal 12 months early. The Tigers released a statement declaring their intention of keeping Leilua at the club next season despite his decision to ink a three-year deal with the Cowboys from 2023.

The two clubs remain in talks, with Cowboys coach Todd Payten sharing a close relationship with Tigers head of football Tim Sheens and recruitment manager Warren McDonnell.
