Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The more I think about it the more Jack Hetherington makes sense.

He does have mongrel which WT have clearly lacked and does have some speed which we have also lacked.

WT seem to be pinning hopes that Blore can realise his potential and also stay on the field for the season.

I think Hetherington and Dykes would be excellent buys and obtainable.

Still would love to get Joseph Tapane and/or Hudson Young from Raiders if they do have a fire sale.

Madden as he is off contract and have 3 other players who can play the same position seems logical to leave as well as Liddell, Tuki Simpkins and maybe Gildart back to Super League.

It if funny WT were after Naden and ended up with him 11 games into the season on a reduced contact thanks to the Doggies. I think once he trains with the team he has size and pace about him and in one game showed he can work well with Ken.

I think To'a is the answer to the second centre position with AJ and Tommy back ups.

Been so impressed with Joe at lock this season. Been pick of our forwards and glad he is back in 2023.

Still wish we could find a way to keep LL Cool J. Such a weapon in attack.

Since we signed Papalii I have been watching his games for Eels closely and we really picked up a quality player. Api also a great pick up and such a smart dummy half. These two could be game changers for WT in the next couple of years.

I enjoyed reading your post. Hethrington coming off the interchange to provide impact which we need would be a great acquisition.

At this stage it's looking like my mail was right. In saying that, it's the NRL, that can change depending on which way the wind blows.
Feels like Crichton and/or his management were using WT for negotiations to stay at Easts for a higher sum. Well played Sir.

No need to rush back AD from injury. He should be viewed for WT long term plans.

To me Crichton and Staggs should play centre for NSW in SOO.

I would love WT to open the pursue strings and buy Stephen Crichton from Penrith and play him where he wants to play Full Back or Centre. 21 years old and a Superstar in the making.

Once Penrith win back to back titles I am sure some of their players will leave for big bucks elsewhere especially with Captain Chin and a number of high profile players taking up cap space with their big contracts.

I am only dreaming but how good would it be to land Yeo as Captain and Lock. To me that is like when the Sharks landed Luke Lewis and we know how that ended. 2016 premiership. Yeo has to be one of the elite players in the competition and appears a genuine leader as well. Sorry I woke up now Yeo will never leave the Panthers.

Stephen Crichton should be the target for full back

Seems that Matt Lodge has purchased a dwelling on the Northern Beaches .. read into that what you like .. Sea Eagles bound .. ??

I find it quite strange and believe something is brewing behind the scenes.
@THE_POM updated us about the Augus C meeting and Lee also said it went well with us going to put an offer through to him for around 2.1m.. Reading into this it makes me think they would of discussed our $$$ and they wouldn't even put an offer together if the money was not right in the first place. Our recruitment team have been very very quite until an announcement takes place and I think this could be the case IF the offer was put forward...
Maybe I'm more wishing but still hold hope..

I would love Angus at the tigers but not for stupid money. When someone reported 2.2 for 3 years (ave 733K per year) that would be absolute max , for mine.
Anything above that would weaken other areas of the top 30 too much.

Yes, not likely to happen from what I was told.
According to @THE_POM pre-Naden: “Club also trying to fast track a move for Kade Dykes this week, they want him at the club before the bye round. 2023 terms agreed upon”.

So unless Dykes was using us too to get a commitment from his family Club, he’s with us next season.

Our offer is not stand alone. It needs to be considered in comparison to what Papali'i will receive. Papali'i is the form player in the NRL in the second row.
