Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not sure anyone has done this previously (I'm sure it has been), but here is a quick classification of players and the club moving forward.

I'm not including the recently re-signed To'a, Kepaoa and Naden.

Would love to see others' views.

Top Priority to Re-sign. Upgrade if needed
1. Ofahengaue
2. Hastings

Re-sign, but not for crazy money
Madden

Don't care, as long as they're not expensive
Doueihi
Laurie

Don't care
Nofoaluma

Move on and pay half his salary for 1 year
Brooks

Throw the chequebook at
Rueben Garrick (think he might be contracted through 2023 only)

can someone tell me why did we sign Kapoa, Toa and Nadden to longer contracts when there are no other clubs would want any of them ..im totally lost on this!!!
Naden has been really good IMO.
He had a couple of mistakes tonight but should of had 2 tries and he is quite quick.
He puts in an effort unlike some. Excellent extension IMO

Agree with most but I think Daine L is a must keep unless a top line FB comes up. He has been outstanding the last 3 weeks and with our new game style all about attack coming he will be in his prime.

Your TOP Priority is Hastings and Joe O 100%

I think Laurie's gone next level having Naden around

It's clearly noticeable.

He's been solid.

Tonight we were cleaned up big time with ruck speed. Theyweteplaying the ball in 3 seconds and we were playing the ball in 5 seconds. Massive difference and it all came down to the forwards intensity. Don’t write off the backs on tonight’s game, the forwards were totally out played except for Pole

We should rename out club the Wests Jackson Hastings. Without him they simply can't play - with him they beat top 4 sides. He has to be priority number one. Not Doueihi, not Stefano. Hastings is more important than any player or coach at this stage.
Agree. Played without a 6 and 7 in attack. They have no idea.

Like others Im sure that watched the game against Sharky's, I watched Naden and thought he must be wearing boxing gloves, about 4 times he got tackled he lost the ball in tackle, he went up to try and catch a ball to score and knocked on, I like the guy, but my god he cannot hold onto the ball, and I like AD but his tackling and kicking tnte only one word terrible.

Could be aiming to lock down some squad players and salaries so they better understand what money they will have left to target marquees. Hopefully that’s the case.

The no try was a tough call I thought when you watch it in live speed.

The dopes should of got out of the way although watching it live they weren't really in the play.

Unpopular opinion but I can’t rate Joffa as high as some others do.

He’s all heart and better than pretenders like Musgrove and Tamou but lacks impact with his runs. Stefano and Pole are the only front rowers that dent the line.

If we can get Klemmer or Lodge I’d reluctantly let Joffa go if he doesn’t want to stay for reasonable money.

Possibles

Xavier Willison - norths Qld 2nd row

Brendon Piakura - north’s Qld 2nd row

Lazarus vaalepu - falcons Qld cup prop

Tesi nui -brisbane broncos

Preston Riki - penrith panthers 2nd row

Xavier va’a - Sydney roosters prop

Jordan Hill - Mackay cutters wing

Royce hunt - Cronulla sharks

Yep, same as every week.
The sharks' linespeed and yards after contact was in a different league to us tonight. Men against boys.
A lot of that is attitude as well, which is unforgivable.
