It is what it is....Been thinking about it a bit (With the benefit of hindsight) There's been plenty of those young blokes that never kicked on under the last coaching structure....
Jacob wasn't a fan of Madge or his coaching.

That and start making good recruitment decisions. If you're paying for a sirlion steak, make sure it's a sirloin not blade or an old bush steer cut.Good. Never kicked on and injured way too much.
The club needs to start cutting it's losses on these kids who never came good.
I bloody well hope so.Top 30 places are being vaccated and $ are being made available for a reason.
I’m in the good books for once on a Thursday night.😂No footy tonight😥
That sucks ass
Mmmm…..that certainly goes in the face of all the hoopla about keeping Brooks, I don’t disagree with you, but imho I don’t think LB will be playing anywhere but 7.
Thinking Jacko will start at 13 but I’ve been wrong before. All part of the mystery !
Given the way he played after Madge is gone and the fact he's leaving, it doesn't look like he's a fan of Sheens either. It is what it is....

Cayless is gone, shame really I thought he has done a good job this year.Apparently according to "The POM" his contact with St George is with the NRL to approve.
Wonder with David Furner joining our coaching ranks where does that leave Nathan Cayless (unemployed). Furner was a great player and experience in the coaching ranks so hope he can be an asset to WT.

I guess he's known for months he's on the way out....Given the way he played after Madge is gone and the fact he's leaving, it doesn't look like he's a fan of Sheens either.
Brooks is not the answer either.Madden didn't feel it just as capably we got smashed when Brooks didn't play and hence Madden is moving on.
If Madden was the answer Sheens would have kept him
thankfully Sheens thinks he isBrooks is not the answer either.

Harsh, but fair!Don’t really think Madge actually knew what an attacking structure was, apart from 5 hit up’s and a kick, the same with Noddy, hope Sheens and co can do better than that.
He came back for a visit for the unbanning ceremony😁🙏Good to see you've recycled you avatar - it's my favourite of yours.
if they aren't good enough it doesn't matter what you pay themBrooks on 950k-1mill not a good buy... Brooks on 650k good buy!
It all comes down to value.
Most of us wouldn't have minded Mbye on 400k.
The argument that the Hastings Brooks Doueihi combination is a winner is an admission that Brooks can't play half ( Also when Brooks got injured Madden filled the role just as capably ).
IMHO, Brooks is not a good buy even at 150k!Brooks on 950k-1mill not a good buy... Brooks on 650k good buy!

That template would be a winner at any club.I said a couple of seasons ago that WT should spend a large chuck of their salary cap on quality forwards, a ½ and a fullback. The rest can be cheap "pathways" players on min wage.
I'm still wondering, is that the best way to go?
