He was a Tigers junior , played 5/8th. Then coached. Did we not recognise him as a good coach.

There are 2 types of coaches. Ones with wishbones the other backbones.

Are you kidding - there's massive doubt. Total doubt. Until someone has proven they can successfully achieve a challenging objective, one must assume they can't.

The playing roster makes the coach.
Some are better at Talent ID than others, so have the knack of creating strong rosters which include a handful of cast offs that were not wanted or not appreciated by other clubs.
But at the end of the day, you don’t have to be a genius to coach a strong roster to be successful and likewise coaches don’t have a magic wand to make sub standard rosters win many games.
There is not a coach on the planet who could get our current playing roster into the top 14.

The problem for Webster is that he was not in the clique that runs West Tigers and that has always been one of our main problems. Shame really.

I see Webster as a no nonsense type of coach, like Bellamy. Maybe the type who would avoid the late night boozing and bullshitting sessions.

Just for the record, I think Burton is a centre but that's just me and what the hell would I know anyway.

I think Gus is a Snake.. he is currently playing as Football Manager, and does the job well and has loads of experience, but his true talent is that whenever the team starts to struggle the shake comes out and just steals the players straight out from under the noses of the other teams… … true instinct for survival. 😉😁
