With seyfarth re-signing i reckon the Blore for Olam trade might be back on. Blore is down our pecking order for props now, and has had his injury issues.

Olam may not be the player he was but he should still improve us. Just so long as it's not on a 4 year deal.

You'd have to think that any chance of Willison coming ended with Seyfarth and Twal re-signing. We're way over our prop quota now, unless we were to trade say a Matamua for him. We still have a very forward heavy squad though.

No i don't think so - although the cap rules for 2024 haven't been released publicly yet.

Salary cap relief is available for any players who's been playing in the league for 10 years. Api, Klemmer etc are all able to access the discount. The discount also covers players from lower grades, jersey flegg and up i think to count towards one's years if it's at the same club.

He's been playing prop the past 18 months mostly. He's not a back rower, too slow.

His lateral defence his shocking, and he’s not dynamic enough on the edge.
at middle it’s not an issue , his big plus is whacking people front on , he gets his hands free for second phase , and he’s a decent runner of the ball .
He is not a first grade second rower .

Realistically,
Simpkin- good kid, OK player but surplus to needs.

Nofo - bad attitude, aging player, well past his best.... should be shown the door to free up space with the future in mind.

AJ - not a fan, doesn't offer a lot on field and we need the space desperately.

AD - will he even play next year ? Work something out, put him in the cooler for a year to allow a new signing and for him to recovery and us to see IF he can bounce back.

All these have to be on the chopping block, AD should be put on a TT if possible as he's out half the season anyway. Then i don't know whether he's worth persisting with afterwards given his injury history.
You could also add Blore to that list given the murmurs yesterday, he's a middle not an edge and we seem to have adaquate depth there with Twal, Seyfarth, Pole and Fainu probably gunning for his spot. I do like Blore fwiw but his spot and some backs depth is more of a concern for me atm.

You'd think Simpkin would have some interest AJ possibly Nofo is going to be tough to shift but he needs a shove and AD restructure somehow. Time for Fulton to earn his dough now i guess.
