8 wins from last 48 comp games. Hard to do worse but definitely possible.Agreed. It’s not like we can go backwards. Or can we? 🤔
When you buy guys who are always injured don’t be surprised when they’re always injuredHow is it baffling? He oversaw first grade strength and conditioning at a time in our club when a lot of our best players were chronically injured. No offence to him, as he is a legend, but he is past it.
There must be someone out there on the pulse with the new ways and the old that we can get and we should be willing to pay 💰 to get the top guy becoz we need it.How is it baffling? And that response is probably an exact indication of your worth. You’re right
- the fact he’s been moved on from both those teams and was only offered a lifeline from the lowly tigers back then is an exact indication of his worth….
Yeah agreed. We need change and youth. He's 73 to put things in perspective. I like him
too, but characters like Palmer find it hard to
hang it up. Can't expect a 73 year old to run round
with and condition 18-20+ years olds the whole
year, it's a bit silly. What's more silly is how we're
being painted as the bad guys (again) for not
renewing his contract. Would love to see him
retire and spend more time with his family. Good
luck silver fox, been a staple and icon in the game
Most clubs would celebrate a guy who gave the code 50 plus years service. Not our guys, only worried about their next pay check.Yeah agreed. We need change and youth.
I’m worried about his mental and physical health. Seems like the guy lives for footy and without it could be lost. Obviously loves it. Hope he stays in the game in some capacity and keeps himself busy.

Mate he’s pretty lucky to have been kept on as long as he has. Most clubs would celebrate a guy who gave the code 50 plus years service. Not our guys, only worried about their next pay check.
Not hard to put together a nice farewell video and dinner for a rugby league lifer. The pigs in suits at our club haven’t got a clue.Mate he’s pretty lucky to have been kept on as long as he has.
Wests Tigers have been a retirement village for too long.
If he has I’d pay him like $120k max.I see Charlie Stains is on the Tigers site now but the others leaving have been removed. Does anyone know if he has re-signed maybe?
Get him a bbq - too soon? Not hard to put together a nice farewell video and dinner for a rugby league lifer. The pigs in suits at our club haven’t got a clue.
Why not the club gives supporters the sausage every winter.Get him a bbq - too soon?
Is that you Ron?Why not the club gives supporters the sausage every winter.
It’s terrible int it,, they have no idea how to bring a team togetherNot hard to put together a nice farewell video and dinner for a rugby league lifer. The pigs in suits at our club haven’t got a clue.
They tell half the players early in the year they’re free to find a new club then change their minds. Morons. It’s terrible int it,, they have no idea how to bring a team together
Didn't the club tell him they weren't extending his contract, last year? The fact that he hasn't been able to find another suitor since, suggests we should've given him the tap sooner. Most clubs would celebrate a guy who gave the code 50 plus years service. Not our guys, only worried about their next pay check.
And who said we didn't celebrate it? They could easily have given him a nice send off away from public eye. Did you expect a ticker tape parade down Parramatta Rd?Most clubs would celebrate a guy who gave the code 50 plus years service. Not our guys, only worried about their next pay check.
Well after 37 years working at a company and then let go, at least i got a cake!!!Unlike you to have a problem for the sake of having a problem?
He's been let go from plenty of places in the last decade - Didn't get a send off there either.
None of the headlines are bigging the club up for keeping him in the game for a few more years after he was punted everywhere else...
50 Years is a long time, He didn't reach double digits here though...
You say gave the code 50 yrs service like he wasn't paid for it,
And he did it all at the one club?
