To'a was our best outside back for a couple of years. It's not really saying much, but he's a solid player who can be very good on his day. When fit he should be starting in the centres.
He’s made a career from trying to look like a celebrity. Pathetic.Uncle Bully? God, I hope not
I think I’d rather Naden to be quite honest. He’s made a career from trying to look like a celebrity. Pathetic.
Ah true. They signed Euan Aitken who probably starts on one edge .
Looks fit, hope he is healthyLooks like starford toa is currently “A side” if true View attachment 18362
Also Jonah from Tonga. I hope not as well. He would make our current three quarters look like excellent defenders.Uncle Bully? God, I hope not
Nah, it’s the moustache. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but he looks like a creeper. The character Uncle Bully was doesn’t help eitherAlso Jonah from Tonga. I hope not as well. He would make our current three quarters look like excellent defenders.
Whether they start the year in the first choice 17 or not, they (To'a, Naden and other similar guys) are players that we will need to kick it up a notch too. At one point or another they will get a chance through injury/suspension. As you said, they now have the players to hold them accountable, so hopefully it lifts their game.I think we may need to give some of these fringe 1st graders some grace like Naden, To'a etc..
The last 2 years they have been playing with sub standards teams and this year they will have the best team around them who WILL hold them accountable and set standards.
IF we can somehow offload Bateman and Sullivan this would end up been the best offseason in the club's history. So excited for the coming season.
Re: DCE..thats for 2026, right?Interesting news with Manly. Even if DCE retires, Turbo to the halves with Brooks apparently at halfback - hilarious. Haha! Hopoate at fullback.
Then what do you do with Koula and what do you do with Onitoni Large?

you have far more confidence than me that a Tigers player will be chosen for origin.I have him next in line for halfback when Romey is on origin duty
This is what people don't always understand... you can't just throw kids into the grind of an NRL season, most of them aren't up to it.The kid has skills. A lot of these kids do. Go to training enough and you’ll see great things from Luke Laulilii, Feledy, and Saukuru too. But its training, not the repetitive grind of games, and yesterday’s 50 minute fluff session for the fans is the least reliable of the lot.
Disagree. Good enough. Old enough. This is what people don't always understand... you can't just throw kids into the grind of an NRL season, most of them aren't up to it.
Tigers have a terrible habit of throwing kids in too much too early, then their form dips or they get injured. The Roosters are great at it, they'll give guys like Walker and Latrell a couple weeks back in reserve grade to build confidence and get their bodies right
Makasini is no doubt a freak - but we can be patient with him. I hope he gets a few games in '25 but no need to throw him to the wolves.
We should make a BIG play at Staggs in the mean time. He is a freak and one of the games best centres.
He literally signed with the Bears 2 weeks agoHeard a whisper that we have signed Morgan Harper probably to a train and trial contract

Aitken likely on one side. The other could be any of Duncan, Kaloamatangi, Schuster or Arrow.I’m interested to see who Souths are planning to play in the backrow next year with Koloamatangi moving to the middle, Chee Kam and Milne leaving the building and Murray out for the first part of the year.
Might be freeing up a spot for Tallis Duncan to start alongside Host if he is still there or Arrow if he has recovered from his Shoulder / back problems.
You are correct Lestronge. What I see in this photo is the kids and their heroes. They should be able to go to school without being mocked. The club should be shooting for the stars. Not each other. That kid must be in heaven. Great pic.Looks like starford toa is currently “A side” if true View attachment 18362
