Mental ? losing game after game must have an affect.Attitude and technical.
Individuals aren’t desperate enough and the comms seem non existent.

And they were offside most of the time, never got pinged for itI watched alot of the bulldogs games live and their line speed was only matched by Penrith and Melbourne. A major reason they did so well last year .
Gutho is serviceable. Great defender. Attack doesn't do heaps and is slowing abit. Still better option than what they have.Cook and Gutho’s form has been on the decline recently.
Struggle to see them making a massive difference at their age.
Gutho may even force out their young fullback who is very inconsistent but a star on his day.
He's only 31. If the surgery was good then hel be ok for his contract.Honestly, I would be a little suprised.
I am a huge Olam fan. He was an utter gun for the Storm when fit and the fact that they identified pre-existing injuries from his time at the Storm NOW says something.
Yet, yea Olam could be going "hey last few years, ill avoid taking big hitups and retire with the money I have.".
I am hoping post-surgery that Olam will rip in. If Olam wants to, he can turn on GUN mode.
I am not going to be naive though, It's far easier for him to do the minimum. Damn it though I am hoping Luai's work eithic rubbs off on him.
I would say both. Unfit players who can’t keep up with the tempo and lazy attitude to go the extra mile. Will be interesting to see the changed this year. Can’t remember the last time I was this excited to see the tigers play .Is it a fitness issue or attitude issue?
First 7 games are the key. Playing most of the teams at our level..(Newcastle twice) desperately need the confidence to help us when we start playing against gun sides.. 5 out of 7 not only sets us up for this season but 2026 as well.. light at the end of the tunnel stuff.. 1 out of 7 and not only will all the guns " exercise their get out clauses", but alot of the gun juniors will jump ship as well'( probably heavily manager driven).Don't think itl be the dragons..
If the Knights lose Ponga they will be down the bottom. Titans still can't defend. Who knows. Tigers are in that group until they show something however.
Horo and Mason went through our first 5 games. All winnable.Benji gonna be under the blow torch hard this year.
Imagine if we lose 5 of the first 6 games.
There’s no way he can do press conferences and stay confident after having to face soooo many last year as losses and say the same thing.
He’s under the pump hard.
If he starts bad - he’ll be gone by round 11.
And bad is 3 wins from 11.
Wish him all the best but he’s gonna be sweating each week.
It's a strange one because it's obvious the guy can coach, he had that Dragons team last year playing some good footy, there just seems to be something either around him or the Dragons that's making it tough to sign some players. For us it was player managers telling their clients to steer clear cause the place was a basket case. The Dragons atm iv no idea what it is. They'll sign good tradesman type players guys that can do a job, I just can't really remember Flanno in the last 2 years signing any big name they were after. They are my pick for the spoon LT seems radioactive over there at the moment good to see another team on the nose instead of us I have madge vibes with Flanagan old school coaches.
Yeah but the point is it was benjis decision last year to go raftingHis point was actually that they’re cutting back on pampering the players. And they expect more from them.
And they’ve brought in some winners to help drive a new culture.
Everything he’s done since day one has been about improving Benji’s 25’ roster.
Can’t penalise them every tackle for being offside . It’s what the good team s do . We should be doing the same .And they were offside most of the time, never got pinged for it
Is that a quote from somewhere mate.
Nah,Think of an NRL coach.
And then add the fact we’ve won 3 wooden spoons , 2 of which Benji has been involved with.
And now you realise the increase in pressure he’ll face.
The scrutiny on him is greater than any coach as it should be.
5/10 would be disappointing but probably buys Benji another few months. Anything less he should be in big trouble, anything more is a pass. How they are losing/winning also factors inHoro and Mason went through our first 5 games. All winnable.
Basically, if we start worse than 5 from 10, Marshall will be under a heap of pressure to keep his job.
Our definition of plenty differs.I agree it was never set up properly from the get go, however the downhill slide was being worked on with the great signings of Api and the current DallyM backrower of the year in Paps.
When the board knifed Madge after extending him only 6 months previously, it commenced a period of shitness, far worse than the quality of the squad suggested.
The squads of 23 and 24 had plenty of players who brought big game experience including finals and grand finals, plenty of guys who played elite level rep footy and some who still were doing so.
Lol.Nah,
The culture in the playing squad and management was garbage.
The club as a whole is changing.
Benji will be a good head coach and I hope we persevere for a few more years.
Tigers are on the up.
Richo said something about the money being there for an upgrade to Campbelltown for 20,000 seats -corp boxes, centre of excellence but it’s going to take time to get it right (whenever that means).Anything there we didnt already know?
My point is we had enough blokes who knew what they were doing to not get back to back spoons. Our definition of plenty differs.
I’m asssuming you’re counting noffa in your stats too?
Edit noffa was gone already apologies. But my point was noffa was an international but offered jack.
They're not in the US marinesBefore he closes that barber shop he needs to shave all their heads. Luai included.
One of the best things for the club would be to cut off the gossip queens like Benny Elias.Storm do a 2 WEEK camp!!!
2 weeks!
And we do white water rafting lol
Benji got no excuses
It reminds me of when Benji took a home game to New Zealand to say thanks to the warriors for the Covid stuff.
No other team did it
Benji was like. “The game is bigger than winning”
Like when he went to NZ last year “it’s about showing the boys the culture”
dude - it’s about busting your ass and drilling the players in pre season. It’s all about winning.
And jumping in on players drills is embarrassing bro. You’re not a player anymore.
As Benny Elias said to a mate of mine - benji is a sh*t coach. (And that was recent). And I’m no fan of Elias - but that’s the noise floating around the club … and that’s what’s in glavins parents ears. Let’s see
