Why not loan to manly for 18 months. Manly get a good hooker until Ashton Large is ready & Tigers get a player developing in 1st grade who comes back a way better player ready to take over. Seems like a win for everybody, that is under the assumption he does want to be a Tiger long term

Few things need to happen for this to happen IMO:

1 - Api need to extend 1st
2 - We won't let him leave this week without a player in return

I wanted to keep him but clearly, he is not all in as he would stay knowing he will take over from Api and his not prepared to wait.

Like most jobs these days the new guys want it all Yesterday without putting in the time.

Not having crack, but I think you are wrong in everything you’ve said here except Api will re-sign.
We aren’t getting someone in return. Something has occurred other than Tallyn getting itchy feet. He isn’t even waiting for Api to sign anymore. It doesn’t seem to matter anymore. The club has obviously recognised this.
I don’t believe for one second that this is him being greedy, self-centered or anything else. His view on staying a Tiger has turned 180 degrees and very quickly. Something triggered this outside of Api possibly being extended.

Maybe not play Api for 80mins each game ?
After all he didn’t play 80mins per game at any of his previous clubs.
We were doing fine and winning our fair share of games when Tallyn was regularly coming on for Api and making an impact.
Our results have not been so good since Benji decided against that plan.

We won 5 from 9 with them working in tandem this year.
We won 0 from 4 when Benji decided Api goes full 80 again.

The problem, is, I don’t think the club is coming from a position of strength.
We are going to lose the kid, get nothing in return and probably not find out why.

But Teddy did walk and I think we offered him one of the most expensive NRL contracts at the time at 1.2M.

TDS is walking. He isn't a good tackler, can attack though. For the Dogs he would be a downgrade on Reed Mahoney.
