Opposing player was holding on to the back of Taylans Jersey as he tried to move towards the ball, I don't think it was enough to get a penalty however it did unbalance him, so it made it look like he just gave up on the play. Maybe a bit more urgency and aggression would have allowed him to at least disrupt Deardens ball pick up, however hard to tell. To me the Naden misses were actually pretty consistent for him, people saying he is rocks and diamonds, I actually think he is pretty consistent defensively. I very rarely see him come out on top against larger more physical centres when they target his side....I recall a similar outing where Bradman Best made a complete fool of him on multiple occasions.The Taylan and Naden comparison, along with the respective vitriol and/or praise dished out to them is notable, particularly when you add May giving up on the play when they scored after he lost the ball in the tackle.
He may not have been able to stop it, though dropping his head certainly did not help, yet most simply forgive him whilst attacking the other.
