Bula is the only one the opposition need to worry about as a wide threat at the moment .., sure he is featuring prominently on tne opposition game plan each week and seems to get plenty of attention from the opposition…

The opposition are very worried, if he could turn that worry into points for us occasionally it would be nice.

Yes … the defence has to watch KPP as well … they know Sione or Sukkar don’t provide much of a threat … Turuva should be a winger only

This also happened with Madge for a short period. Problem was the cattle was way worse with guys like Packer, Mbye and Reynolds taking the bulk of the cap.

Remember the board and Pasco asking Madge to settle on the players after some started complaining he was too hard on them.

Bula at least 250k overpaid, Turuva at least 150k overpaid, a 34 and 35y’o Api at least 200l overpaid.
Terrell May also very overpaid in recent efforts, but with such a shortage on decent props, I don’t think we had much choice with him.
There is an an extra 600k we should have for starters and you can sign a handy player with that cash.

Our biggest problem is the lack of talent coming through the pathways as a development club to back up those signings, as regular FGers. All those players would get readily picked up by other clubs and are key to us remaining competitive.
Compare the quality of our pathways to Newcastle the last wooden spoon club and that's why they have progressed this season and we havnt. And they have invested plenty in some key players too.

The reality is we are buggered across the park so its difficult to focus on just one or two players and their contribution. Its easy to compare F1 drivers when they have the same car, however its hard to compare them when they are in different teams. This is true for NRL players as well, Bula frustrates me as he does poke his nose through, however seems to go to ground as soon as a hand is placed on him. He needs to improve his strength through the hips and middle. However saying he aint worth the money is a bit difficult as he is does not create shape, and never has been that type of player, he takes advantage of it, and when you are not creating good shape out of your 7 and 6 its not easy for him to shine. The only 2 players i can really single out for our insipid attack over the last few weeks are our 7 & 6, in that order. Our Pigs seem to be able to get us into the attacking zone, however our halves seem to go to water once there.

No doubt we can and should be doing better in the pathways space, but all things equal, we have produced plenty of NRL players, including regular NRL players over the past few years.
So if you look at if that way we are probably punching above our weight.
If we are a fair dinkum development club we need tj focus more on keeping our best young talent, particularly the ones that are showing signs of becoming regular genuine NRL players and complimenting them with the right recruits in the right positions.

Ashton Ward is showing he’s a decent emerging 7, but the point I am making is he is nothing special yet the Rabbitohs regularly score plenty of points with him at 7.
They have had a Train and Trialist at 1 making much more impact than our 1 soon to be earning 900k plus.
You know why because Souths are smart enough to to not overspend on players who are not match winners with individual brilliance.
We think it’s a good idea to spend a fortune on players who have very limited individual brilliance and only perform well off the back of dominance and big plays from their team mates.
News Flash it is your top earning players who are supposed to be the ones proving the the big plays and individual brilliance as you don’t have enough money in the cap to buy these sorts of players when the money is being spent on players who are not capable of doing it.
I could be wrong but I’ve heard we are paying Makasini around 500k from 2027 onwards.
On current form that is 300k too much, but I can understand this one as he no doubt has the potential to become a match winner who can break tackles at will.
Every club over pays sone players, but you have tn be very selective on who you are over paying and what they can offer you in regards to helping the team get the 2 points each week.

He would be good, but I was under the impression he is very close to Luai, so if that is correct I cannot see him being keen on us in light of this latest Luai situation.

I don’t think it will have an effect except for Luai’s crew which includes Leniu.

Based on that theory we should get rid of all our halves and sign Ashton Ward and Jayden Sullivan as they played on a team that scored 30 points without a problem.
I was once a Jayden Sullivan fan, but if he is even on the same stratosphere as Adam Doueihi I will eat my hat.
Matt Dufty got a try assst for 3 of Souths first 4 tries with very little to no assistance from his halves.
Tallis Duncan was hitting holes like any good 2nd rower or centre should be doing.

When I lived in Sydney I rarely missed any games, whether CSS, LO, or Aussie Stadium (whatever it's called now).

Luckily, I'm neither old WSM or BT, and maybe that is the difference. My only attachment is to Wests Tigers, and I do not care where the previous teams used to play.

I want 1 home ground that is a fortress, I want my team to wear its home jersey at home, so the supporters can make it a fortress by wearing the same jersey as the players, and I want a united supporter base, all cheering for Wests Tigers. I want all lower grades under the Wests Tigers name, playing at the one home ground before or after NRL. I want the NRLW and lower grades all playing under the WT name at the one home ground.

I guess I want 1 united team in NRLW and NRL and all lower grades. Sadly, that will never happen under the current ownership team. And I truly believe that is a big part of why WT is not competitive and cannot build a strong team in NRL.

NRLW doesn't seem to have the same issues, but they are simply WT. Not split between two defunct teams.

A lot of people agree with the concept of one home ground. You Suzie seem to be one that actually goes out to support the team across our different home grounds.

Over the years I have also been to home games at Leichhardt, Campbelltown, Accor, Allianz, CommBank.

However, if it was decided that Campbelltown was that one and only home ground I can imagine a lot of upset fans. Just in the last few weeks not just the ground but even the area has copped a pounding from some on here. I know at the moment we have agreements in place for more than one home ground either way

I grew up in the inner west and I know plenty of Wests Tigers fans from the area who never miss a Leichhardt Oval game, but think it’s beyond them to head any further west than Ashfield.
Our South-West based supporters embrace Leichhardt Oval much more than our Inner West based supporters embrace Campbelltown and I don’t think you need to do a survey to work that out.
Throw in all our South West based players who continue to get overlooked and shafted.
We once had a CEO who kept saying we are a development club and we embrace the South-West.
Actions speak much louder than words.

Would love to contribute to this in detail, but anything about Campbelltown is considered a taboo topic around here.

Not being able to have a proper discussion about it is a large part of what's wrong with the club. Too many people running cover based on either emotion, agendas or both.
