Rumour Mill: Cooper Cronk is expected to announce he will be playing with Cronulla next season though there is speculation Canterbury are set to make a late play. Jai Arrow will be playing for the Titans in 2018\. Michael Lichaa is set to play for Parramatta next season. Blake Austin is likely to end up at Newcastle. Tyrone Peachey has had a gutful at Penrith and will seek a release with Canterbury and South Sydney both in the running.

Should we have a crack at Tyrone Peachey .. very versatile ??

How about this one:

Had to Be Seen to Be Believed: Joel Edwards catching the ball on a standing start, spinning, rolling, busting tackles and carrying three players over for a try. I saw it and still don’t believe it.

The dogs interested in Cronk and Peachey, what the ?

Bulldogs? Surely they couldn't fit a 6yo in their salary cap at the moment

Seriously, Cronk is actually playing on and we didn't make him an offer??? Are we mad! Surely we would have more coin than bloody Cronulla - like _they_ need any more talent coming to their team

Players like Cronk only go to strong teams they wouldn't be as good in a struggling team.

Yeah you're right Kafta, fair weather player probably just wants to coast into retirement playing with all the top teams. No challenge in that.

I don't know if you were being facetious or not Spud but i would be surprised if Cronk would have been a superstar in this years Wests Tigers side.

His presence would definitely help us, but I guess the good ones only want to go where they are surrounded by other good players that make them look even better than they probably really are.

So you concede that Woods and Tedesco are in this category?

This thread has nothing to do with Woods and Tedesco. Why does everything have to be turned into comments about Woods & Tedesco. I have no interest in them, I'm talking about Cronk, who has never yet played in a struggling team and doesn't ever look likely to.

That's a side step that would make Benji proud.

I would suggest signing 3 representative players in Woods, Tedesco and Cronk would strengthen our squad..

Only for depth though hard to see them keeping Littlejohn Heleta and Lolo out of the top side..

Missed Lawrence, missed Ofan…
People saying Boyle likely to stay at Titans.

Who's left? Latimore? McKendry? No top 2nd rowers... except maybe Peachey?

Bulldogs looking at Cronk? wtf? They are getting Foran, they have Mbye, they want Cronk as well?

Would laugh if cap is announced at $9m. Dogs would then have to drop... well, no, they'd just cheat, like the other top clubs do.

We need some good news Tigers, hope SG is right about the players in COP and hope they don't pull out.

If th dogs get Cronk they may have a fire sale of forwards. I'd still take Eastwood at the right price.

The Titans are looking at Sam Thiaday that is more cap space gone if they sign him.

If Titans got Thaiday, I imagine that would be for 2019\. (Broncos are saying they don't want him after 2018.) Hayne would be gone by then (surely they wouldn't put him on $1.2m again) and Titans would have some more space.

Still, I would like to see Boyle and Peachey to Tigers. And another winger.

I would try for Peachey
The other 2 mentioned in Latimore and Mcendry would also be ok but cheap , but smoken Gun has said we will have more join us soon

Does anybody think the following players are worth signing :
Jamil Hopoate
Kaide Ellis
Kurt Dillon
Scott Sorensen
Corey Jensen
Agnatius Paasi
Sitaleki Akauola
Dave Taylor
Tony Williams
Brent Naden
Gerard Beale

It's a no to all of them from me.

Snippet from 7th tackle on Blake Ferguson
Despite his strong form at club level, there’s also been limited interest from rival clubs. Both the Dragons and Sharks considered his services, only to look elsewhere. We’ve also heard the Tigers and Eels had been approached, but nothing has come of those discussions as yet.

Corey Jensen, Brent Naden, Passi and Kaide Ellis all worth a look.
