Dragons saying they won't release him, who are they kidding. No one is held to contracts anymore. Was only yesterday the Warriors denied SJ's release. Today they give it to him. Contracts lol.

Roosters are rumoured to be huge on young Flanagan, so like all these things, plenty of knock on effects, maybe even a coaching one?

I'd be super surprised if we got SJ - we just don't need him as badly as some other clubs suddenly do.
If Widdop leaves and Holmes gone, both those clubs need a replacement ASAP and they have big money spare.
Only a Kiwi connection could entice SJ to Tigers. But honestly despite his talent, he plays in a position we have fairly well covered just now - we still need to focus on centre and backrow.
I'm still a bit shocked the number of big-name immediate releases this offseason - unprecedented in my memory and so many of them with a lot of their current contract still remaining. Klemmer, SJ, Holmes, now Widdop all asking for immediate releases.

Yes I rate Cook as a player, but I have no idea how his game would improve our team that would justify the expense.
I don't think we are that weak there, while he would be a good signing for the dogs to replace Lichaa.
Do we attack down one side and sign Alex Johnson and try for Dylan Walker to get him some good ball? If so how does Dylan and Reynolds fit?
We need a plan, then we pick the players to fit the plan. If we see a real bargain, i.e. Jason Taumalogo or Coen Hess become free then we go for the bargain. But otherwise we stick to the plan.
